Those I have lost

I am putting this out there for all who are struggling.

To all of you who are having a tough time right now, I get it. Those of you who are struggling due to loss, pain, illness, injury, or just overwhelmed with life; I get it.

I am dealing with several issues right now. Health, both mental and physical, injuries, loss, and the associated stress and anxiety. This was not all of it, but it is the biggest problem, especially the loss, as it compounds all other issues.

The loss was my Daddy. It was a year ago June 30th. As that day nears ever so quickly yet slowly, I am crumbling at the same rate. Trying to reconcile the fact that I have not actually spoken to my dad in a year. He was my world, the one I called when I needed to vent, bitch, whine, or if I had something bizarre or funny, especially something involving stupidity of others to tell.

How do you move forward without your go to person?

How do you learn to live without the one who made you who you are?

How do you handle the hole in your heart and life?

Hi Jen.
I'm sorry for your loss.

I know, easy to say.
Simply, live.

Greetings,
Slavka 👋

I am sorry for your loss. As the actual date draws closer, it does get harder. But, interestingly, the answers to the 3 questions you asked at the end of your post were probably given to you by your father during the time you had him. That is what our parents prepare us for.
Jim

Sorry for your loss and troubles, Jen. Fortunately, I still have both of my parents in their eighties. We are slowly losing Mom to Alzheimer's and/or Dementia. Dad is actually 89, So I am not sure how long he has left. Mom is my go-to person, but I feel it will be hell when I lose either one of them.

Good Fortune, Prayers, and Blessings.

Blessed Be

JD

I am sorry for your loss, but keep those memories handy, and I believe you Father still resides in your heart too! Time eventually does heal all wounds and in the end, you will know that you can still talk to your deceased loved ones in prayer. I have lost several over the years!

Jeff🙏🙏🙏

I’m so sorry for your loss. That is a pain there is no real cure for and only time can ease the grief.

What a beautiful horse…is he yours? I find that animals and nature long with good friends are wonderfully therapeutic. Trust that your dad is always there by your side. Take good care. :-)

Susan

Thank you. No, she wasn't mine. Unfortunately, we lost her on April 28. We had to have her put down. This is another issue that I have, an accident when we were burying her. I went to jump down in her grave to remove the straps. My knee popped & crumpled, so now I am a crippled-up mess again. I ended up fracturing my femur & tibia both above & below my left knee. This is not my best 4 or 5 years, all in a row. I am more than ready for a break.

So sorry to hear that...can't imagine what you must be going through. Sometimes life just seems to keep throwing us these hurdles and it's very difficult to push through them. Sending my best wishes to you. :-)

My thoughts and prayers go with you. In times of hardship and stress take time to heal. Time is the only cure. I lost both my parents when they were young and I still talk with them.
Stephen

So sorry to hear…hope and pray for better days!

-Mike
