Ranking with your website title.
Today I was surprised by some interesting things. I signed up as a pro member of jaaxy a couple days ago. But I used the free part of jaaxy for a few weeks. I have been following my keywords using jaaxy site rank, it shows your actual position in google search results. Some of my keywords for my posts have done fairly well, some have done poorly. I can say that probably a couple of my posts possibly were more popular with google for whatever reasons. The most interesting thing I found out, is the most obvious keyword I wasn't even checking, is ranked page one and position 7 on google, and page one and position 6 on bing. The keywords are my actual website title. Not my post titles. All my post titles, are different sets of keywords for each post.
My actual website title is in my custom header, And also the actual title of my website.
So too make a long story short, sometimes our best keywords are in the title of our site. And even if our actual post keywords are not ranking well, keep in mind your website title can be changed, and you can use low competition keywords for your title. I am not talking about your domain name, I am talking about website title. Thanks and Good luck.

You are right, Jeffrey, our best keywords are normally in the title of our site. Thanks so much for sharing!! :))
I have seen this in my rankings as well! I am sometimes surprised how Google even sometimes rearranges things, in one instance even added a word to a title of mine! But if they wanted to help me rank that is fine with me, lol!
I am with you there Jeff. Somehow I ended up with two names. The SEO one is on page 1 of Google, Google Chrome, Bing and IE. The original one is on page 1 of IE and nowhere to be found elsewhere. I think the SEO one wins. Next task is to (maybe) change where I put the original to the same one!
