Wednesday-Another HOT Hump Day!
Hello everyone in Wealthy Affiliate!
The heat was slightly cooler by a couple of degrees today. I started my morning by taking the stepdaughter's abused 1996 Jeep Grand Cherokee over to my 15th Street Locksmith house.
She bought a new car today (2011, so new for her). The jeep she has only had since March! It belonged to her aunt for the last 10 years, and she was instructed to drive it a certain way and it would do very well for her; however, as teenagers tend to be, she didn't and it didn't.
I am now in possession of it, and ala' Twack, this vehicle will be a project for eventual sale!
My tax appointment was moved to tomorrow, so I went and took a look at a broken lock that I will be replacing with a pull handle instead.
After that, I rejoined Frank over at his sales lot where I had taken him earlier in the day!
I worked there for a few more hours and then it was time to head home! I'm still feeling BLAH from the heat but I'm drinking water like I am supposed to! (Maybe not as much as I am supposed to, but I'll do better!)
On the way home, I stopped by the warehouse complex to see about a part on my last "lettered" locksmith van that I retired about 16 years ago that a friend of mine needs.
I also started catching up on some more emails and working on some blog post drafts here in Wealthy Affiliate!
It is not as much time as I wished to spend on it, but it was all I could spare!
As I always say, one of the GREAT things about this platform is working at our OWN pace!
It is a few minutes past midnight now, so it is Thursday for many people now, so HAPPY THURSDAY everyone!

Yes sir Jeff, the heat is on here in Texas to, but all I need to do is sit and relax on the patio. Drinking plenty of water in that heat is important for sure, I usually drink sweet tea, it taste better than water. One thing is for sure, you do have to slow down and WA is perfect for it. Check out the blog dogs, 10 to 1 odds you don't see them running around the yard in this heat. They probably don't even bother the cat, it's just plain too hot. Stay healthy take life easy, say hey to Monica.

Yes, Joe, the Blog dogs are definitely relaxing! You've got the right idea about water! I still need to drink more of it than I do!

If you would like to share some of that heat Jeff it would be nice. You have too much and we don't have enough. It was 13 degrees here yesterday, not really summer weather.
Too much heat can be very draining, keep the fluids going and take care.
Linda--you must be a good luck charm, we got T-storms overnight--really cool this morning and will be today--if it stays overcast. Maybe the heat got picked up and is now on its way to you!

I was thinking of painting it camouflage, fixing the back hatch, along with a new thermostat. 4WD works, so excellent for hunters!
Sounds like a plan. You could put a lift-kit on and a set of bigger wheels. So much potential. It all costs though.
We shall see how it turns out. The more I'm am looking into it, the more I think I might add it into my own vehicle rotation!
I've had three of the 'XJ's' and throughly enjoyed all of them, especially the 4.0L straight six petrol, sweet engine.
I told Monica I was going to get her inner tubes, else she will never learn, but of course, I was overruled, Neil! π³π«

Ah, yes, I remember Kansas heat.
It's been quite warm here, but not really hot. A little breeze tempers the warmth a bit. Took my daily exercise walk down the road today and a little bird followed me about half the way. Once when I was talking to him, he started to walk up to me...then decided that was not a good idea. Cute! Perhaps he felt he should social distance.
Maybe so, Fran, but I liked hearing about him!
