Tepid Tuesday (for lack of a better word to describe it!)

Hello Everyone!

Tuesday was not a bad day, but it left me wanting a lot more--"Tepid" describes it to a tee!

The weather was still mild, so that was a good thing, but my physical business interactions (save for the last one) were less than stellar, and if I could have a "do-over" of this day, I would certainly jump at the chance!

After the initial cloudiness, the sun hazarded a visit.

Monica is still recovering well, and I am thankful for that!

I worked on the computer in Wealthy Affiliate as I always do from about 6:00am to 8:00 am, then left to pick up Frank and run him on a couple of errands before having to part ways early to tackle some of my own work!

My next stop was the 15th Street shop house, I learned that the mushrooms in the lot next to the shop house that I have been craving were poisonous.

This discovery was due in part to a response from Twack saying that I needed to consult a mycologist. (an expert on fungi and mushrooms, among other things). I went to a website and looked at a bunch of information about good and bad mushrooms, and that's when I got the sad news!

I keyed up some locks for a nursing home job coming up and received a call from Sonic Drive-in to repair their back door lock, which I accomplished.

I also worked some at the eBay house, before heading for home around 5:00pm.

I worked a little on my latest book project and continued getting caught up on emails. I also tried to correct some YT video issues, and I'll have to check to see if I resolved them later!

As one can see from the title image, the Blog Dogs were relaxing on the back steps and lying around inside most of the day!

EVERYONE ENJOY THE UPCOMING NEW DAY!

You accomplished quite a bit on your tepid Tuesday. Bet you're enjoying the mild weather. It was horrible Humpday for me today. Just one of those days when nothing goes right...at least it wasn't Friday the 13th! Tomorrow HAS to be a better day all the way around!! Couldn't be any worse! Well, I guess it could, but hope not! Gotta get a bit of humor to end this rotten day on a better note!

I'm so glad to hear from you Carol, and realize that you can easily relate!

Tomorrow is always good when it starts with me waking up!

Jeff

That's what I forgot to tell you! My bad. I know for a fact that most mushrooms that grow on our properties, like the yellow ones we have on ours are poisonous.

I remember you mentioning that yesterday and I forgot to say anything. Anyway, it's best if you looked it up for yourself. One of my dogs almost died eating a few of them five years back. Well, I'm glad you're still here and not cramped in half by the beside🍄

Thanks, Joss, and I also read that the RED ones are also poisonous!

Jeff

Those mushroom pictures in your post, remind me of an episode of "Naked and Afraid" where the male partner saw mushrooms after a rainstorm as a 'good sign' to save them from hunger and ended up getting poisoned from eating them. Fortunately, the female was smart enough to stay away from them 👍

Thanks for the post, Jeff!

Isaiah 😊

Yes, Isaiah--as I have learned there are tell tale signs to tell the good ones from the bad. Rule of thumb is: if in any doubt, then don't eat them!

Jeff

Too bad the mushrooms were bad. Good thing you checked though. What would the town do for a locksmith if you were poisoned? You seem to have a monopoly on that.

HOT HOT HOT here today. I took a shower, went out and was soaked again within minutes. I had to take another one! Fall is right around the corner.................

~Debbi

Yes, Debbi! I was truly looking forward to those mushrooms!

As for this town, I only seem to have a monopoly because I have not yet been driven out of business like many others have!

I've seen them come and go over the last three decades!

I've had high humidity days prompting more than one shower each time!

Jeff

Hi Jeff, sorry to hear about the mushies being toxic. They would have made a great feed if they were suitable to eat. Reminds me of "majic mushrooms"! Me and a few young friends back in the 90s thought it was a good idea to harvest some of these. Man, was that a mistake! Hours of hallucinations and paranoia! I actually thought there were trantulas crawling up my bedroom wall! Needless to say we never touched them again. But good to hear your going well and Monica's getting better. Best wishes to you all!

Love it, Matt! Thanks for sharing that experience! You have made my day alresdy!😂

No worries Jeff im glad to have made your day! What we do as teenagers hey? Have a great day and stay safe!

We could probably talk for hours about our teenaged adventures, Matt!

Yes we probably could Jeff!! lol
Fun times thats for sure!

They were, indeed, Matt! Enjoy your weekend!

Jeff

You too mate!

I will, Matt!
