Snakes, Superb, & Satisfying Sojourns!
Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!
Before I talk about this Memorial Day's activities, I must rewind back to yesterday evening. Monica showed up quite surprisingly, and I was very glad to see her! She was on the way back from her mother's house, and decided to pay me a visit.
We sat at the picnic table for the visit. I was quite pleased by this surprise development.
We chatted for a while and then she said she thought she saw a snake near my front door. I turned around, and sure enough, she was right!
Holy cow! This was CRAZY!
We talked for about a half hour, and then she was gone (but the snake had left a little earlier!)
Since my buddy Kevin has been out of the loop for the last couple of days, she called back in the evening, and I ended my night with her, which was not a bad way to go!
I slept a bit fitfully for most of the night, but finally got there.
She was also the first person to call me as I was waking up this morning too! That is an excellent way to wake up for me! In fact, it was the BEST way to get woken up!
She sent me an image of the repaired windmill! I was happy about that too!
This Monday has been productive, no matter what one reads or sees Not only did I get to talk to her, but I also got to see her before she went to work too!
What a way to start the new day!
At this time I had barely gotten into my morning sojourn of the Wealthy Affiliate Community!
We chatted for a bit, and then she was off to work. I have since found out that she will have to work four hours each day for the next two days too, since someone has called off from work on those days! That is going to cramp our plans for this new week, but I guess that is how life goes!
Before I ventured back into the house I took a couple of images of the new day, to include the title image!
At the time of this writing of the post, we are at 86 degrees! My schedule is all messed up for the holiday.
I don't think that we will get much hotter than that!
When Monica left for work, I talked to another Army buddy from Montana for almost two hours while I enjoyed a couple of beers outside before it got too hot.
Then I went back inside, and decided that I needed something to eat, so I went with the easy fix which was a waffle burger!
I think that it came out pretty good! Yes, Nick, it was "plain Jane", but very satisfying!
Another bit of good news is that last night I completed the final editing of my first new eBook in the sequel series to my 15 volume Bermuda's Secret Series too!
Many of you might know this was an adaptation from my first Kindle Vella story. I plan to publish it either tonight or tomorrow. Then, I will write a blog post on my book promotion website declaring this after it is published.
This will consist of my major Wealthy Affiliate work today!
I still have a little yard work to do--it never ends at this time of year.
There was a lot of time spent on the computer too, and there will be a lot more of that going on well into the evening.
Once again, I did not hear from my buddy Kevin about an update, so I assume that he might have had the last two days off, which is quite unusual!ο»Ώ
Everything has been a bit out of order as I celebrate the Memorial Day holiday by myself, but it has still been quite busy! Time flies when we are having fun!
I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAD A MAGNIFICENT MONDAY! NOW THAT MY HOLIDAY HAS COME TO A CLOSE, I WILL FACE TUESDAY, AND A LOT OF OTHER CHALLENGES THAT WILL LIKELY COME ALONG WITH IT!
Sincerely,
Jeff, the BLOG DOGS, and Kitty

Another snake sighting, Jeff? I don't know how many more snake images I can bear!
That waffle burger looks good! No ketchup? Or syrup over it?
Hope you have a great week! ππΆπ±πΆ
Isaiah π
Me neither, Isaiah!
The waffle burger was good and on each waffle there was maple syrup on them, My hands don't have to get sticky when it is on the INSIDE. ππ§
Hope you are having a Great week too! πΆπΉπΆπ
Jeffπ
Hi Jeff,
Feels to me as its not just the weather heating up with you and Monica. She stuck around even after the snake, and has been reaching out a lot. :)
I hope all is well with your friend Kevin given all that is going on over where he lives. I suspect the guy with the hat was likely involved in the first break in too.
You are just plowing through the writing, nice job.
Regards,
Jason
Thanks, Jason!
We will get back together when and if it is meant to be, but I love talking to her and seeing her either way.
I haven't heard from Kevin yet, but I hope to today!
I'll keep plugging at the writing!
Jeff
Morning Jeff.
Well done for completing the editing of your book. Keep up the good work. I truly hope the fruits of your work pay off in the end and you are rewarded for your dedication.
That's a lovely picture of you and Monica together. I think it's worth you getting it professionally printed and framed as a keepsake. Your happiness being with her shines out like a star. I hope you guys have a good future together regardless of if this is just as friends or as a couple again. As I wrote the other day - who knows what the future holds for us all?
The snake looked a bit gruesome!
Laters,
Paul
EDIT - by the way, Jeff, Monica's hair really looks nice tied back like that. Tell her Paul says it really suits her and she looks very pretty wearing her hair in that style.
Good day, Paul!
I was happy to get that done, now to get it published next. I hope the fruits will come soon, but whether or not they do, I will keep writing!
I am happy with her, and I will take her either way, and be happy about it.
The snake did look a bit frightful! Haven't seen it again, so that is good.
Have a Good one!
Jeffπ
Hi, Jeff
That snake was probably trying to escape the heat.
You should try to locate its den, which may be close to the house.
Do you have venumous snakes in your general area?
There are rattlesnakes, cottonmouths, and copperheads in Kansas, but most likely in wooded areas and near water.
Be careful π
Frank π€πΈ
It might have been , Frank! I'm sure it stays under the heavy logs up front. I will let sleeping snakes lie, they are too heavy to move around.
I don't know it reminds me of a water moccasion, but too far from the river.
I'll remain vigilant!
Happy Tuesday!

Hi, Jeff
We had a garter snake that used to coil around the valve of a propane tank under our gas grille. I think it liked the warmth.
My wife spotted it first and wasnβt pleased!
I found itβs den and threw a few moth balls down the hole and we never saw it again.
Get a better picture of it, if you can, and email it to a herpetologist in the department of zoology at the state university for identification.
In the meantime, we could name it Jake (the snake). π
Happy Tuesday! π
Frank πΈ
That's the only image of it that we had, and I haven't seen it since, so I'll worry about it if and when I see it again, Frank.
Jake the snake sounds good enough! π
Happy Tuesday!
