Hello everyone here in Wealthy Affiliate!

My morning routine started with the Wealthy Affiliate Community, and eventually with a cup of hot black coffee!

Tig-Tig looked like she could probably use some too!

I also allowed the Blog Dogs to play a little outside before I left! Monica was already at work by this time!

Day three of Kevin's visit should be starting sometime within the next hour or two, if all goes smoothly! He's probably tired of me already!

While I was waiting to hear from him, I thought I would get a head start on some more Wealthy Affiliate research!

I am not sure how smooth the day will be since we are jamming in a lot of activities before 4 or 5 pm when he has other business to attend to!

Shortly after this, he arrived, and went straight to work on my ailing car--a 1999 Pontiac Grand Am (which I had been using as an emergency locksmith vehicle with all of my vans having issues.

He has had a GREAT many Pontiacs in his time and he knows them quite well!

He then adjusted and clean a few things under the hood! We both test drove it a couple of times, and now all seems to be working a LOT better than before! If I'm lucky, it might get me through the winter!

We started unloading some locks that he brought over from my other place and talked shop while having a couple of beers!

We did this for about an hour, especially the "having some beers" part, while listening to 80s hits blaring from the speakers in his van!

When we finished there, we went over to the warehouse property!

It is still in the outdoor clean-up phase! We went inside the big building (in the rear of the picture) and did a little more horsetrading!

I have a little shop located in there too! This happened until we were both hungry and after about a half hour of fruitless searching for another restaurant that wasn't fast food, we once again opted for the Chinese buffet!

It was delicious again as usual, but he was upset that the town that he used to live in has gone down hill so fast, having no really good sit-down restaurants to offer!

This was both due to the initial Covid panic, and then poor government and heavy taxation! I was embarrassed too since I still live here!

Around 3:30pm, his other obligations came to the forefront (I am not the only one that he knows here, though he has spent the majority of his time here with me so far!) Shortly thereafter, Monica called at her lunchtime and we talked a few minutes.

After that, I went back to the eBay house to take care of some other tasks, and then will likely ride the motorcycle back over to the warehouse to see how the cleanup is progressing.

It is getting late, and daylight will soon fade!

The city is getting a little impatient with the project lagging behind so I need to get the crew working over at the warehouse complex a bit more motivated!

I might see Kevin again this evening, though I am not counting on it! If I do, then it will be a pleasant surprise! I look forward to some more quality time with Monica tonight since her work "week" will be over!

THE FIRST DAY OF THE NEW WEEK IS NOW IN THE BOOKS FOR ME! I HOPE THAT EVERYONE HAS HAD AN EXCELLENT START TO THEIR NEW WEEK AS WELL!

Sounds like the day hummed along quite nicely, Jeffrey!

Pontiacs! I remember back in the early 50's, we had a light pastal green. Dad would take his heat lamp out and warm up the engine before heading off to work on snowy days.
He must have gotten his job at Campbell Ewald Advertising for Chevrolet, as after that we always had Impalas!
When, Mom asked me to help pick out a car after years of driving grandmas Oldsmobile, I picked a Pontiac Lemans! That big nose was really good to have, since my brother had run into several things, at different times, and engine area was never hurt! LOL

So, when are you coming back to Texas!! Ha-haa! We have plenty of restaurants, and the government?...Need I say anything further? Ha-haa!
Enjoy the last of your visit, Jeff!
Barb

I would love to come back if I wouldn't take a bath liquidating all of our holdings, Barb! Of course, the current administration's economy might take care of that for me if things don't change soon! 😳🙄🙄

Jeff

Perish the thought, and believe "He" will take care of all our needs.
Psalm 23 :)
B

"Yea though I walk through the shadow of death, I will feel no evil, for Thou art with me!" Very true, indeed, Barb! 🙏🙏

He's my Shepard and I shall not want:)
Wink!

Or, as I like the other version's take, " He gives me everything that I need"!

Very nice and very true, Barb!

Jeff🙏

A nice sounding start to week my friend!

What about Cracker Barrel as an alternative to the Chinese Buffet?

Or have they had to close down too due to recent events?

Have a tremendous Tuesday Jeff!

🐫🐶😹🐶🐫🍻

It started out real nice, Nick!

Kevin doesn't care for Cracker Barrel that much, and I must admit after the last visit that I had, it wasn't a pleasurable experience either. Plus he wanted something that was all-you-can-eat!

They are still very much open, but their suppliers are no better than IHOP's at this point, unless something has changed since then!

I may go there again sometime with Humphrey if he stays long enough to go with me to test it out! 🐫

I hope you had an excellent one!

🐫🐶😹🐪🐫🐶

Just thinking... Are "all you can eat" still PC? ...with the big emphasis on health?
Some folks take all the fun out of going out! LOL
B

Probably not, but I sure enjoyed them back in the day, Barb! Kevin wanted to do them for old time's sake and because he will have so many restrictions on his lifestyle when he gets back home! Kind of a last hurrah!

Jeff

I get that!!
One more feast can't hurt.
B

Surely not, Barb! 😎👍

If I can ever get Humphrey to stay there longer, I'll take him in and we can sample the afternoon fare, Nick! Of course, HE will be buying! 😂😹

The fate of many small towns is the same as yours...and for the same reasons. I am so happy to live in a small-town environment that hasn't fallen for political schemes, so life goes on as usual for us.
Enjoy your time with Monica. Those long 4-day shifts are grueling.
Archie

I know exactly what you mean, Archie! The sad part is that there is a military base right next to us, but that doesn't seem to be helping!

She's home and asleep now! I hate those shifts of hers too!

Jeff

Me too, Archie.
Even though we are right next to Houston, I'm in another county, and a little Municipality.
Just last year, we lost our Mayor...The longest standing Mayor in the US!!
40 years or so? Scarcella of Stafford,TX!
Our tax base is best in the area, and businesses are coming because of this.
We also have our own school district and it's all on one tract of land.
Many advantages, and middle class.
Barb

That sounds a lot better than Houston, Barb!

Jeff🤠

Oh, Baby! It certainly is!!!
Miles of difference!
Big city, little borough... Chaos to Serenity!
B

Lucky you, Barb! I thought you were stuck in "Liberalville"!

Jeff

That's great Barb. I wish everyone could get out of the big cities and enjoy life in a thriving small community.
Archie

It certainly would be nice if more people had the opportunity to do that, Archie!

Jeff

Though I will admit, it does have its disadvantages too!

The beer and buffet and hanging with your buddy had to make the day better. Have a great week.

John

It certainly did, John! I hope your week started good too!

Jeff
