Hello WA Family,

It is always a good feeling inside when we finally accomplish something new. The past few weekends I have been setting up my first email marketing campain. If anyone has any tips or tricks to share, I am all ears.

E-Mail Marketing Last Weeks Results

Last week AI and I worked for most the weekend to setup my email marketing with MailerLite. What I want to share with you before what we accomplished is. MailerLite is not as simple and beginner-friendly as they like you to believe.

  • Created my signup form
  • Welcome Email
  • Confirmination Email

Setting up the embedded form was a pretty simple process. laste week I created a simple generic form that i planned on editing later on.

Welcome email was for my new signups on the form, and a Confirmination email to confirm they received my welcome email and got my free download.

E-Mail Marketing This Weekend

This weekend went much smoother than last weekend, I had to create a password last week for my workspace to be created. Just a reminder for anyone who did not read my last post, avoid signing up using Google for MailerLite.

  • Edited my email form to be more appealing and less confusing
  • Created my first email campaign "Master Resource List Guide"

I edited my form with the title and description what my subscribers will get from the Master Resource. This seemed to appear much better telling my readers why signing up would benefit them.

Master Resource was created with the assitance of AI, we provided a list of the Best Resources for Seniors preparing for their retirement income online.

Jeff Shares

For anyone who missed my last post, I make the mistake of signing up with MailerLite using Google. Avoid making this same mistake, you will avoid yourself a lot of frustration.

WA Design Tool

I used the design tool here to create a banner for my Master Resource, even though I didnt get real creative, I am stil very pleased with the results. I also used it for my feature image on a post I published, so I am happy with how quick and easy this was for someone with no website design natural talents.

Do you have anything to share, I would love to hear from you,

Jeff

Great job Jeff!

I know the feeling one gets when finally getting some progress after first being frustrated starting something you are unfamiliar with. Even just a little bit of process can be a huge boost to motivation.

I have yet to start email marketing for my future Bootcamp website for seniors. I have never done it for any of my other niches, though I have thought about it with my current PPE niche to enhance my outreach.

Keep it going and keep us informed of your progress. It will help all of us who will be doing the same in the near future. This way we can know what works and what we should avoid, like signing up with Google for MailerLite.

Robert

Hello Robert

I thank you for commenting on my progress with MailerLite. You can count on me to keep sharing my experiences with my website and my email marketing process.

Jeff

1

You are welcome Jeff and yes, keep sharing your progress. It helps those of us who haven’t done email marketing yet.

True Robert

I even share what problems I am experiencing as well. Then the solution I used to solve the problem. I can see how it would help members new to email marketing, it would have helped me a lot.

Jeff

1

Exactly! It’s helping me so I know what to expect.

1

That is a good thing to know what to expect. Surprises many times are not good for us, unless they are good surprises

1

Jeff, this is a good and very solid progress. Setting up your first email campaign is never easy, especially when tools like MailerLite promise simplicity but still need patience to figure out. You handled it well.

The Master Resource idea sounds perfect for seniors looking to earn online, and improving your form to explain the benefits was a smart move.

Thanks for the reminder about avoiding Google sign-up too; I’ve seen that trip people up. Keep going, Jeff.

Hello John

It is good to hear from you again. I have my email lead magnet set and ready for subscribers. That is one task I can breathe relief accomplishing.

How have you been, I hope you are not experiencing too many obstacles standing in your way of success?

Jeff

I'm happy to hear about your email magnet. And I am doing very well. I have just updated all my posts, categories, and tags. All needed SEO refreshing from the live classes I've been attending here on the WA. Next, I'll be looking at my 2026 article, all crafted.

1

Hello John

Good to hear you are doing very well. I am relieved to have my email marketing set in place finally after two weekends.

I am happy to hear you have your posts, categories, and tags updated.

Jeff

Ah, good to know as well. Yes, they're all updated now. The SEO live class by Jay is helpful. You can watch the replays for more info. Let's make sure we do our best and leave the rest to luck, or whatever it is out there.

Good to know you have them all updated

I need to watch more videos on SEO. There is so much to learn that I don't know

Jeff

Yes, there's always a lot to learn. As a Premium, you have access to some training. I have it all, and that's a lot. Have a great time, Jeff. Great chatting with you, elder brother. I can say dad, or uncle, if you like.

You are correct that you have a ton of training as a premium plus member. One day I hope to upgrade myself, but for now I am staying where I am

I have seen some advanced training I was interested in learning, but they were only for premium plus members

Yes, do what is possible. I didn't even imagined in January this year that I'll be a P+ in the end of July. It happened, and I love it. Good time. I want to go and update the images now.

How did updating your images go today? I have been out all day with appts. Tuesday I am not online very much until evening.

Jeff

AH, it has been a marathon. Just finished updating all of them and it's 3:31 AM now here.

Good to hear you got them all updated John

Are you about ready to go to bed now?

Jeff

Sure, and yes, I did. I'm now up and ready to work. I was trying to replace my bulb and pulled the wired down too hard, disconnecting the live wire. Trying to see what happened, the positive wire touched the negative wire, and boom!

The switch burned. I then switched off, but the main house socket automatically turned off because of the shock. I went to buy a new switch for the bulb, fixed it, went and turned the main switch, and here we go again. Light.

I love fixing things, but sometimes with risk. Have the live wire touched me, that'd have been trouble.

That was a bit risky for sure John

I am happy to hear you solved the problem without harming yourself. Electricity scares me to mess around with too much. I once got zapped changing an outlet because I didn't turn off my electric to the outlet first.

Dummy me
Jeff

Turn it off before you work on it. We all know that, but sometimes it just happens. I was just twisting the bulb holder around to see where the issue was, and doing that when the live wire is bare, you get such results.

It either touch you (not you touching it intentionally coz you won't) or it touches itself or other metals and the shock is the result. Yes, I was able to fix it.

John

I did know better, but thought that I could do it without turning the power off. The screwdriver slipped and I got zapped real good. Now I always turn the power off no matter how little of a task it might be

Jeff

Sure, that's the best way to do it. Lesson learned, the hardest way.

True we learn from our mistakes especially when you get zapped

Hi Jeff!

Great job doing what is frustrating but getting it done anyway! Keep at it! Much success with your email marketing! Slow and steady wins the race.

Have an awesome Sunday and a productive week ahead! Wishing you the very best!

Kind regards,
Nichola

Hello Nichola

Setting up my email marketing with MailerLite was a bit stressful, but with the assistance of AI we overcome the problems.

Jeff

1

Glad that you were able to get the assistance of AI! Keep at it!

Nichola

Hello Nichola

If It was not for AI assistance I doubt if I would have figured out what the problem was with MailerLite

Jeff

1

More power to AI for helping your to figure out the problem.

Nichola

AI has been a great asset to my progress since September with helping me setup my email marketing and pages on my website

AI is a great tool for sure
Jeff

1

Awesome! AI is great tool that we use to benefit ourselves.

Nichola

Hello Nichola

AI I am finding is a great time-saver for researching. I still write my posts from scratch since I am writing from my own experience. My website is an educational hub for seniors preparing for their retirement income with limitations do to their age.

WA is my only affiliate program promoted on my website,

Jeff

1

Good for you! You are creating something of value for seniors since they are often the forgotten ones.

Wishing you the very best!

Kind regards,
Nichola

Thank you Nichola

How are things going for you with it being the beginning of the holiday shopping season. Being the holiday shopping season really does not affect my niche very much.

Jeff

1

You are welcome!

I am doing well. I just came back a a training school for my financial service business in Atlantic City. I am just continuing with my daily/weekly tasks. It is almost the end of the year so people should be getting their financial house in order to start the new year ahead of the curve.

Nichola

Hello Nichola
Good to hear from you again. I hope you had a good time at your training in Atlantic City. Its good you are keeping up with your daily/weekly tasks.

I have my new website ready for affiliate links, so now i am researching my best affiliate programs to join

Jeff

1

Thanks! I had a great time. I do my best!

Awesome! Great progress! Keep on keeping on!

Nichola

1

Thank you Nichola

Happy to hear you had a great time.

I tried to create a hub for my new website, but I can't figure out how. Since I already have a website created I am not sure how to create a hub for it.

Jeff

1

You are welcome! Thank you!

Yes, I am not sure how to create a hub when you already created the website. You can ask the community. I am sure some will know how to do it.

Nichola

Way to go, Jeff!!

Tim 🎼

Hello Tim

How was your weekend, did you do anything different?

Jeff

1

Hi Jeff,

I got a lot done around the house and for my aging mother this past weekend. One day at a time, my friend!

Thanks for asking! I hope your weekend was enjoyable!

Tim 🎼

I understand how home chores and caring for an elderly mother is. I experience a similar situation myself.

I hope your mother is doing as well as possible

Jeff

1

Thanks, Jeff! She is doing great for 86!

I hope your mother is doing well.

Tim 🎼

Hello Tim

I guess my mom is doing alright for her age. She is 87 years old, she needs to use a walker and sometimes a wheelchair to get around.

It is getting harder for me to do all that she expects me to do for her, I don't know how much longer I can keep doing the things she needs and wants from me

Jeff

1

I totally understand! But we do what we have to for our families.

Yes we do Tim

If only my brothers would chip in it would be a blessing. Taking my mom grocery shopping today if she is feeling up to it.

Jeff

1

Thanks for the tips, Jeff!

Did you end up changing your email from a gmail/Google email to a web-based email? This is what I thought we had to use for newsletters.

I use Aweber (still learning!) and it said to use a web-based email, like teri@goldensurvivalist.com instead of goldensurvivalist@gmail.com.

Teri

Hello Teri

I didn't have to change my gmail email. I just had to setup a password which I hadn't done. I signed up using Google signup, which I found out wasn't a good decision on my part.
