Map your progress and goals

Lately I have been running like a chicken with no head trying to wrap my head around everything I learned in the last month. There is so much to learn and sometimes it feels like I don't know if I'm heading in the right direction. I have to admit, I do have a lot on my plate with my car repair shop, 3 kids at home, staying fit, planning a wedding, enjoying life and my new passion, Affiliate Marketing. So for other beginners out there who might feel overwhelmed, here are a few tips that I have used and want to share with you.

First of all, I try to map realistic goals for the time at hand. My first goal was to try to write one article every two days for my niche. I have soon realized that it is not possible for me at this moment. So I have changed that to one article per week and if I'm lucky I'll write two. I also include 3 trainings/week from WA. I write it down in a note app on my phone and cross them off as I go. It's not that easy, it requires discipline/determination towards your goals. I think it is also harder when you do this part time. I know when I'm doing something full time I'm more focus and I feel like I'm moving forward all the time but when it's part time, I feel like I have to get back in the game and it shaves off productivity time. Somedays It's hard to find the motivation when you've only seen your kids for an hour and then they're off to bed. Well, that's stuff you're going to have to forgive yourself because you are only human. Which is why realistic goals are important. You can readjust as well from time to time but being a bit hard on ourselves once in a while gives good results too ;-) So, write down those goals and keep at it.

I don't expect to make a dime after my first article/post/blog. I have to remind myself constantly that I have to build traffic first! It's hard for me to understand the concept of working without being paid immediately. I run a car repair shop. I fix cars, people pay me. Boom, my work is done. Here it's totally different. I have to remember that I am still in the building process, so should you! That brings me to my next tip...

I write with passion and willingness to help others. I believe that when you do what you love and in the mean time help people, life will somehow take care of you. As I said earlier, I have not seen $$$ yet but I understand and believe in the process and so should you. It is very simple yet a lot of work. But I'm a passionate, ARE YOU?

I don't care what others say. I used to listen to what my family and friends thought about my projects and most of the time I would end up doing nothing because in the end, no one really knew any better than me. They could not know because they had never done it. they have ideas of the concept of being an entrepreneur but they don't know. I have come to realize that only I know what's best for me. I have come to understand that any goal can come true as long as you keep pushing it forward. Just look around you. Look at the first thing around you... is it a cup? a plate? a table? a computer mouse? anything in the world is the result of someone's dream or creation. Dream of a goal, keep your eyes on it, write it down and KEEP WORKING ON IT EVERYDAY!!

Lastly, I do at least one thing a day towards my goal. I try to do a lot more obviously but there is not one day where I don't edit a page, write a post, post pictures, comment here on WA, welcome new members etc... It keeps me motivated. Sometimes I start doing something for 5 minutes but end up writing a whole article. WA Homepage is now my homepage on my browser so inevitably I do something towards my goal everyday.
