Prayers And Healing Thoughts Needed!

Hi WA family. Many of you do not know the story of my 21 year old nephew Dylan. I'll tell you a little bit about how his life changed forever, on a rainy night outside of Fort Worth, TX on January 31st of this year.

Dylan was in a devastating car accident on that night and suffered many, many injuries, the worst being a Traumatic Brain Injury. They did not expect him to live, but he did and has been hospitalized since then. He was off the ventilator, breathing on his own and progressing well the past two months.

He was supposed to be transferred to TERRS, a high level rehabilitation hospital in Houston, last month. But due to insurance mix ups (imagine that), he had to go to a skilled facility in Weatherford, his hometown and wait out a 60 days period before he was eligible to go to Houston.

He has been there about 2 weeks. This morning he had a major set back. I copy and pasted what I wrote in his CaringBridge update tonight, that I started the first day of this horrible nightmare. You can read that below. I am just to tired to write it all out again. So here it is:

It's with a very heavy heart that I write this tonight. Dylan has had a major set back this morning.
This morning around 9:30 he aspirated on his feeding he had been given a half hour earlier. They were laying him down to change him when this happened. At that time he went into cardiac arrest, they did CPR and were able to get his heart going again. He was rushed to the local Weatherford hospital, where his heart stopped two more times. Both times they were successful in bringing him back.
He was then life-flighted to Plaza Medical in Fort Worth, as all the other ICU beds were filled. He is currently in ICU there. He is on a ventilator and back to being on the same drugs he was on the first go round.
They fear he has had further brain damage and they are doing a CT scan this evening. He still has pneumonia and they believe he is also septic. His vitals at this time are ok, except his temperature, which is very low.
He is opening his eyes a bit, but is having a lot of twitching, so are also giving him seizure medication.
Please, please, please, we need lots of prayers and big healing thoughts and energy going his way. The family is quite upset at this time and prayers for comfort are needed for them, also. Thank you.
