Things I Used to Do with WA That I Now Do with AI (And Vice Versa)
When I first started with Wealthy Affiliate, I had my routines. I relied heavily on WA’s built-in tools, did my research the old-school way, and tackled writing content manually.
Then AI happened.
Now, my process has completely evolved—not because WA doesn’t provide value, but because WA and AI now work hand-in-hand. It’s not about “replacing” one with the other; it’s about finding the balance. Some things AI does better, and some things WA still holds the crown for.
So here’s my honest breakdown of what’s changed, what hasn’t, and what’s actually improved in my day-to-day affiliate marketing workflow.
1) Keyword Research: AI vs. Jaaxy
🔹 Then: I used Jaaxy for all my keyword research. It was the gold standard inside WA—offering QSR scores, SEO analysis, and competition breakdowns to help me find the right keywords to target.
🔹 Now: I still check Jaaxy, but since Google updates caused QSR to be temporarily unavailable, I’ve been using Hubs inside WA and AI-based keyword research instead. AI gives me trending topics and variations on keywords, which helps when looking for less competitive alternatives.
💡 Verdict: AI speeds up research, but Jaaxy (once fully restored) + WA’s Hubs still give me affiliate-specific data that AI doesn’t always nail down perfectly.
2) Writing Content: AI vs. WA’s Content Creator
🔹 Then: I wrote everything manually or used GPT to refine my ideas. It was a slower process, but it made sure my content felt natural.
🔹 Now: WA’s AI content writer has leveled up big time. Their V2 and V3 models allow me to choose my tone, style, and narrative structure—which means I get a solid draft while still keeping my voice intact.
🔥 Example:
- If I want a no-nonsense, professional tone, I use the Professional Copywriter model.
- If I want a relatable, blog-style article, I go with the Conversational Blogger model.
- And if I want to inject MY unique tone, I train AI to recognize my past writing style and blend it in.
💡 Verdict: WA’s AI Content Writer is just as effective as using GPT externally—but it’s designed specifically for affiliate marketers. Big win.
3) Content Creation Speed: Manual vs. AI Assistance
🔹 Then: Writing blog posts used to take hours. From brainstorming to structuring and finally writing—each post was an event in itself.
🔹 Now: AI doesn’t replace me, but it sure speeds things up. I use AI for outlines, drafts, and idea generation, then refine my content manually. It allows me to post more often while maintaining quality.
💡 Verdict: AI automates the boring stuff so I can focus on fine-tuning my storytelling, engagement, and SEO.
4) Researching Affiliate Marketing Strategies: Google vs. WA Search Bar
🔹 Then: If I had a question about affiliate marketing, I’d Google it. Simple.
🔹 Now: I search inside WA first. Why? Because:
✔ Real-life experiences from other WA members provide more relevant insights than generic Google answers.
✔ WA’s training and live discussions often cover exactly what I need to know—without sorting through outdated info.
✔ It helps me network with other members, which means I learn AND connect at the same time.
💡 Verdict: Why search Google when WA has a community full of answers from real affiliate marketers?
Final Thoughts: AI + WA = The Ultimate Affiliate Marketing Duo
The biggest takeaway from all of this?
AI and WA don’t compete—they complement each other.
🚀 WA still offers the best training, keyword research, hosting, and community in the affiliate marketing space.
🚀 AI speeds up content creation, helps with SEO, and assists with automation.
It’s not WA vs. AI—it’s WA + AI.
The real magic happens when you combine the strengths of both. That’s where affiliate marketers win.

Great post Jeremy, food for thought, and this is the way to go! Ai is slowly making it's way in and it's here to stay. So we have to embrace it!
The worrying thing is, if they eliminate teachers, and put Ai's there instead, as it's all about information, don't you think?
I was a bit Oh God too robotic for me, but hey I haven't stopped asking it questions, on everything as I know I can be a pain, even here at WA lol!
Thanks for your thought.
Julia.
Totally get where you're coming from, Julia. AI’s not replacing human connection, or at least we hope not, but it’s definitely shifting how we access and use info. Teachers, mentors, creators... we still need that human layer.
Hi Jeremy,
Wow, this is really helpful! I understood everything and learned some great actionable tips. Thanks for sharing your expertise.
Best wishes,
Elke
Appreciate that, Elke! Glad it all clicked! Feel free to reach out if you ever want to swap notes on content strategy.
Brilliantly put, Jeremy. I had an issue with a YouTube embed. Had AI give me alternatives that didn't impede site speed. I'd never heard of a video facade, yet, it was able to take me through the steps to implement it. Took the page speed from a score of 62 to 91 on mobile. Then it turned the steps taken to make that happen into a coherent blog post, then repurpose it for Medium and LinkedIn, each linking back to my website, which of course, has a referral link to here to learn about all things marketing. It sure is a terrific duo!
Love that, Robert. That’s exactly the kind of smart, multi-use strategy that makes AI so powerful when used intentionally. Respect!
