Canva VS SeedProd: Which is Better for Creating Landing Pages?
As one who likes to experiment, let me take you down a journey of finding the right platform to create the perfect landing page!
What are landing pages?
According to Microsoft Bing:
A landing page is a standalone web page that a person “lands” on after clicking through from an email, ad, or other digital location. Unlike regular web pages that live within a website’s navigation, landing pages serve a specific purpose during advertising campaigns. Here are the key points about landing pages:
- Purpose: Landing pages aim to capture information from visitors in exchange for something valuable. For instance:
- Lead Generation: They can collect contact details (like email addresses) from potential customers.
- Offer Redemption: Visitors might receive a retail offer code or access to business-to-business (B2B) insights (such as a white paper).
- Focused Objective: Each landing page has a clear and specific goal. It encourages users to take a particular action, such as signing up for a newsletter, downloading an ebook, or making a purchase.
- Single Call to Action (CTA): To avoid overwhelming users, landing pages typically focus on one primary action. Researchers call this the “paradox of choice.” Too many options can hinder decision-making.
- Visual Hierarchy: A well-designed landing page emphasizes the value proposition and the desired action. Testing helps optimize conversion rates.
- Different from Homepages: While a website’s homepage provides a general overview of a business, a landing page is tailored to a specific audience and moment in the buyer’s journey.
Remember, landing pages are essential tools for various marketing campaigns, whether for digital ads or even QR codes on print materials. They help convert visitors into paying customers and drive specific outcomes. 🚀📈
Now that that is out of the way, let's continue.
The Reason Why I Wanted a Landing Page
So, a while back I did something entertaining. I signed up to obtain Wishpond. If you don't know what Wishpond is, it's essentially a super-charged marketing platform that helps with automations, lead generations, etc and really helps obtain users. The downside is, it's rather pricey if your income isn't quite where it needs to be.
I wanted a landing page for 2 reasons. One, to draw peoples attention to my online store, and the other to act as a homepage for my website. So I had wishpond create this for me. But after some time, I'm thinking, we have this awesome WA platform that teaches us how to do this, why not do it myself, and save on the expenses?
Eventually it will be "goodbye Wishpond", sooner than later I feel.
In the meantime, I know WIX is a super cool platform that can do this as well, but my ultimate goal was to have a really cool "draw" in feature to my website, unconventional to the menu bar floating at the top.
I'm certain superb themes in word press can do all of this, and as a matter of fact, I played around with it a bit, and like other plug-ins, "upgrade to pro" to get the design you want keeps appearing.... But did I really want this? I did attempt to play around with the free version but Im not convinced it was what I truly wanted.
Enter Canva
So because I like Canva, and I use it quite frequently for my Youtube thumbnails, among other design apllications, I decided to test the waters of their website design.
End result, I was happy how my designs turned out . I wanted to integrate them into my new Homepage, but I wasn't too sure how to quite get that accomplished.
Even though their help features steered me the direction I wanted to go, I couldn't quite get it to adapt to my main website.
Without screwing everything up for one stupid simple task, I decided to trash that idea and go one last route...
Enter SeedProd
Now you may be thinking, what is this SeedProd?
I tell you, I like it the best. It's simply a plug-in available right here through our wordpress plugins.
Its got a lot of unique features availavle to create exactly what I needed and best of all, you can get it all accomplished with the free version. As for pricing to upgrade to pro, I WILL be doing that in the near future.
End result, the drag and drop features, plus auto automation between device views simplified the landing page creation design I was after, and that's not even half the things this nifty plug-in can do. My recommendation is to GET this plugin IF and only IF you NEED it.
And there you go my WA family, another sweet find for a plugin that does it all, and integrates rather nicely with wordpress.
Cheers!

Well, this is my own version of doing so. And like I mention, it was for my homepage specifically. I'm certain there are other ways, and I plan to do more for other aspects regardless. In any event, you are welcome.
what's wrong with a landing page on a site in wordpress - either a siterubix or a page on your site - if it is relevant t oyour niche....
you can create funnels and anything you need within wordpress...
except for the autoresponder as now google needs verification...
Nothing. I just took an all out round-about way to find what worked for me. I'm not a professional yet, I think I'm the furthest thing from it, but I love finding the things that work for me, and this was my journey in finding just that ;)
Oh, my goodness. SeedProd does cost money, but Canva Pro is cheaper. I learned how to create a landing page with ChatGPT prompting for HTML coding, and I got it to work very well using the custom HTML coding in WordPress Block Editor. Im using it, and people are landing on that page. I found it unnecessary to use SeedProd because you can do the same thing for free with ChatGPT giving you the HTML coding, and I would keep prompting it until I got what I wanted. Save your money!
I haven't PAID for seedprod yet. I used all the FREE features thus far, but glad to know GPT can do this as well. I tried briefly but just could not get the results in the end. Did you do an instructional on how you do this, it would be neat to learn the next time I try to go all out crazy in finding what worked for me. :)
