What To Do With Controversy

One of the things that I am wrestling with is how to deal with controversial subjects on a blog post. As I see it, there are top main options. I can embrace the controversy, and attack it head on, while giving facts and evidence in favor of that which is in dispute, or in the interest of preserving my business interests, avoid any and all controversy.

My desire is to avoid politics, since that only creates division, disagreement, and trouble, and yet I wonder if that is always possible. Unfortunately, politics is not just about the federal government, or the state, or the White House, Senate, and so on. Politics is everywhere. You have office politics. There are relationship politics, family politics, and it just goes on and on and on, and navigating all through that can be rather stressful at times, to say the least.

So much has been politicized, even things that really shouldn't have been politicized, or turned into political footballs or minefields, depending on your point of view. Politicized to such an extent, that if something is considered to be politically incorrect, it can hurt you. Facts and evidence do not matter, only emotion or the correct narrative matters. So how do I deal with this? Avoiding most form of politics I have no problem with. But when it comes to health, avoiding controversy might actually be a form of cowardice. Just sharing my thoughts.
