Getting Another Affiliated Approved
Hi All, Well, I got my first retailer to approve my affiliation with them. It is really cool. I decided what my niche is going to be - retailers where you can save money - resale, discounted retailers, etc. I rarely pay the full price on anything, unless I know it's a good deal. I love to shop at resale shops; most of my house is decorated from Rags to Riches (now called Something Special). We have a lot of wealthy people that live where I live (I'm not one of them) and the stuff they give away is like brand new. And, all the profits go to the local Women's Shelter. I go to the clearance section in the grocery store and stock up on their deals (I have two freezers full of frozen food). The butcher even says that's what he does and there's nothing wrong with the meat. Nobody has gotten sick on my cooking yet; they all say how good it is.
Anyway, I stumbled across this retailer that just took my breath away. I wish I could share it with everybody, but I guess we can't do that. I was just reading the rules with WA and I don't know if I read it correctly or not, but we are not supposed to put our affiliate links on these blogs. Correct? Is there anyplace in WA where we can share our website information? I am confused on this. I am also confused as to how the affiliates know that people are buying on our website. I've just been copying and pasting the link url onto my website with no direction pointing to my id number. I'd appreciate any clarity on this. Also, is this the place that I should be asking this question or should I have typed a question in at the top of the page? So confusing. Thanks all.
BTW - I broke 400. Don't know how. I haven't been doing much interaction lately; trying to get some lessons done (got 3 yesterday). Still have 350 emails I haven't looked at. Sorry folks.

You are correct. I just blogged about sharing about affiliates and Tony came up with what everybody agreed was the correct response.
You can only share affiliate links from your website If someone PM's you about an affiliate you can share the info. to them in a PM.
Katie added that if you really know someone and they would not mind you could PM them with the info.

Thank you so much. But I really don't understand why we can't share our information. We have so many people involved here and something like this may be of interest to them. I am sure there are people out there with affiliates that could help us also. Oh well. I guess Kyle knows what he is doing. Thanks again.
Nice...well if we keep these things a secret then we are not helping everyone. Right?? I can't imagine you couldn't share that info especially since I am confused about the affiliate thing too. I have not even done a web page as I can't grasp the affiliate thing. Just put the info on there so we can all learn. By example
Can't do it. I don't know if you saw some of the responses I received, but we can't promote our affiliates. Unless somebody expresses an interest, you can PM them. You must be brand new. Don't worry about your affiliates yet. Just go ahead and go through the training building your web pages. The first three are basically general information with your about me page and your private policy page. You'll start learning there. Think about your niche. PM me if you want to get information about an affiliate of mine that is connected with thousands of online stores you can apply to. This I think I should be able to share but I am afraid to. I have shared it with a few people and they got several affiliates from it. Take care. And good luck.
