Why Do We Swear

First let me clarify that I am not directing this at an one person. There has been a few times that I have seen post, questions, and comments on Wealthy Affiliate with language that would not be allowed on most sites. I would think it is against policy here also.

I was taught that people who swore usually lacked the intelligence to express them selves in any other way. I do not believe that to be the case here.

There are thousands of members to Wealthy Affiliate. A lot of them are women. Please have some respect O.K?

I would like to triple or even quadruple like this blog. When I was young I used to swear like a _______well you know what I mean, but the one thing I don't remember ever doing was swearing in front of women. When I became a believer the other was the first thing to leave me, not completely, but for sure mostly in private. Even now when it comes out I abhor it. So, good on you for bringing it up James.

I do not think it is very professional and that is just my opinion I know if I see it I just leave because I think you can express yourself in better ways all the best

exactly my point

Swearing is usually used to express emphasis for something, I personally never use it as an insult outside of joking with friends (in the privacy of my own home or their home).

This is a community of adults, and in my opinion, the majority of people here are mature enough to avoid directing any swearing at anyone in particular. If it's not being directed at anyone, and instead used to express awe, respect (Yes it's possible to do so), etc. I don't see the harm in it, nor do I see how it's disrespectful.

But that's just me, and going on with the theme of respect, I respect you and your opinions, and you are perfectly allowed to have them :)

Poly I respect your opinion it just is not mine . I haven't seen any language of any kind that has been directed at any person. just used to express themselves.
You are right about all of us being adults.
Anyway thanks for your opinion
