Kyle Said It...
Kyle said something so simple, yet so profound, it stopped me from doing anything at all; stopped me from doing anything other than sitting and contemplating his simple statement. You are probably wondering what it was that he said that has me so moved to the point of blogging for the very first time. He was in Live Chat, I'm not even sure what the conversation he was involved in was about. I was just fortunate enough to have caught this one line he said; it was just that, a one liner. One of those little tidbits people toss out to get someone's attention, they are usually simple, yet so full of wisdom that they can impact you like you just got sucker punched! I even asked him right then if I could use that line, he graciously told me I could. I don't think he ever thought I meant like this! At the time I asked, I didn't have ANYTHING like this in mind. I was thinking of my sons, LOL, when I asked him, to tell the truth.
The more I sat and pondered what he said, the more what he said made sense, here, in this setting. Especially with people like myself, "newbies", who are coming into this, who maybe like myself have shied away from working with building websites for years. Not because we didn't have the ability to figure out with time, a lot of frustration, probably having thrown a computer or laptop out in the road a time or two, and A LOT more frustration. You see years ago I dabbled, tried to get my "newspaper" franchise online, and gave up because of all of the plugins, keywords, metatags, and oh my gosh!
That is why WA is such a blessing! It takes all that frustration and confusion out! I am not even finished with my first site and I can see the light at the end of the tunnel, I am so excited. Every time I get a little hung up, all I have to do is jump into Live Chat and ask a question and BOOM, I get my answer, I am back in business! This is only as hard as I make it, I just need to follow the script that Kyle, Carson and some of the others have put together in the lessons. I don't need to stray from that script...
'Cuz KYLE SAID IT, "Shiny things tend to hook ya, hang ya through your cheek and drag ya through the mud." (not a word for word quote) So, I think I'll stick to the script, and stay away from the shiny baubles out there floating around, looking to make a mess out of my site.

Hey Jacqui,
"Shiny things tend to hook ya, hang ya through your cheek and drag ya through the mud." – Kyle
I've absolutely no sympathy for Kyle whatsoever, he should know better than to park his butt in Diva B.'s swamp. :P

Stay on track and don't get distracted. I know I have to keep that in mind. Shinny objects are everywhere.
That is for sure. All of a sudden, I keep getting offers for, so called, free web sites that are supposed to bring in immediate cash. After reading this, I realize the reason is to get me distracted from learning what I need to here for long term success.
