I just relocated changed my DNS settings to move my site to WA and now I cannot seem to access the site to upload everything through FTP. I receive a critical error stating it
Hi infinoth. Click 'Websites & Hosting' to the left. Then click the little gear icon. See attached screenshot.
Apparently FTP access is useless since I cannot upload a file to the server. Nor can I access the cpanel for my site. What possible reason could WA have for preventing access to my database, files, and FTP uploads?
Hi infinoth. What tool are you using to upload files?
I would recommend FileZilla. Or, if you prefer, you could just use your browser. For example, in Chrome I can access my FTP stuff by typing this in the address window of the browser:
ftp://bioelectrobot.com/

Perhaps I am waiting for the DNS change to apply. My websites still loads so it must still be pointing to my old host. I will let you know if I still have an issue.

I currently host my websites on hostgator. Since I can host unlimited domains here and I want to be able to use the sitecomment platform I would like to move everything to WA.
It's a bit of a hassle as you don't get full Cpanel access with WA hosting & also they don't allow all plugins.
Use the Duplicator plugin to transfer content.

I think all it takes is to use the import/export feature in wordpress and then point the domain to the WA nameservers.

OK. Are you using the command line or a graphical FTP tool?
