I have just tested my site loading time at Pingdom Tools, not once but twice and received two totally different results. After the first which was painfully slow, I was informe

A lot of the times these sorts of tests are not all that accurate, they are "free" tools for a reason and though they can offer some insight into what is causing lag within your website, the best thing you can do is test your site for yourself.

If you click it and it is loading fast, you are good to go. I wouldn't put too much emphasis on these types of tools, although they can be insightful all the time, they can often times create unneeded panic.

And of course, if you ever find that your website is loading slow at all contact the SiteSupport team here at WA and they will investigate what is going on with your website right away. A plugin is usually the culprit.

Thanks for the feedback Kyle. Site is slow for sure and I have recently installed a plugin which I intend to deactivate. Time will tell. Thanks.

Is anyone else at WA experiencing very slow loading speeds here? My dashboard response time is painfully slow today and sometimes I have to wait an eternity to change between t

Are you still having issues Alan? It is loading very quickly on my end.

Hi Kyle, everything seems to be tip top at the moment thanks.

Hi Alan. I haven't experienced any problems with slow speed today. Do you think it could be your server?

Hi Michelle. Host more likely. Out of WA everything seems to be fine. Very concerning.

Sorry to hear you're having this trouble today. Maybe others are having issues as well and have not seen this yet.

Probably be better tomorrow. I seem to be moving through my mail alright. Maybe.........

I am branching out into a white label program and need to create a CNAME record. If this can't be done at WA then I will have to transfer my domain to another host. I would appr

Hi - WA doesn't host domains.

NameCheap/GoDaddy etc host your domains - you just point them to WA so you can see your website here.

Go to your domain host - and that's where you can setup CNAME/MX/A etc records.

All the best, Mark

Thanks Mark. The wheels can turn again.

Hi - I am trying to do the same thing with a domain I bought here at WA. I installed a WP theme but want to now do some custom things with it that involves a cname. Are you saying if I already have a domain via WA I can just pick a host and add the cname there for this domain and then just point to WA?

@jessie3h hey Jessie I'm having the same question as you...did you ever get it answered? Or know where to find it? I just bought my domain here at Wa but want to use it with clickfunnels. Not sure how to get a cname?

@byronfarr46 did you ever get an answer to that question?

Yes SiteSupport was not able to do anything for my original domain but I created a subdomain for it. SiteSupport then redirected the subdomain to clickfunnels so I could use in my CF account

I am intrigued by the large number of WA members who have alternative companies host some if not all their sites and would like to know the reasons for it.

Is it because W

Hi.

There are certain things restricted here - some plugins, some outgoing connections (eg. I know of one plugin for Amazon, that doens't work - because it can't reach out).

Also, some people are just happy with their hosts before coming here.

I have other sites on other hosts - but my reasons are some require .Net (which needs a Windows server to work - which isn't what is here).

All the best, Mark

Hi Mark,

I note that some other hosting companies also place restrictions on certain plugins, etc.

Why is it that WA doesn't clearly spell out the ground rules. Some time back, I requested that they have a tab on the dashboard which clearly lists unacceptable plugins. To date the silence is deafening!

Hi - maybe because there are so many out there, it would be impossible to list all that were affected by some restriction here.

That said - they are looking to provide a top hosting platform - and just allowing plugins to be installed that could slow the service down (or even open up security holes) for other people, wouldn't be a good move I don't believe.

Kyle does post sometimes about some plugins that aren't suitable - normally ones that would have an adverse effect on your site even if they did work here.

Cheers, Mark
