Spring Quarter Is Over - Time to Focus On Business Growth Again
Now that I've managed to ace the first quarter of nursing school (5 quarters to go), I can finally allot my full undivided attention towards business goals this summer.
First of, I can be more active on this platform. Yay! I'm so excited!
Second, I can launch more products in my stores. Heck yes.
Third, I plan to create more marketing materials for products I have.
Fourth, I can dedicate more businessl learning and rest from healthcare learning for now.
Last, since summer is here - it's time to plan for disperse camping and I'm planning to go around Diablo Lake in WA state and head to Twisp, WA for camping and hiking (bear alert for me). If you've never been there, you should. It's beautiful in the summer.
Anyway, I wrote this post to talk about scaling your blog from affiliate marketing to creating your own products to sell to your audience.
So, you know that one of the ways you can "make money from home" or "make money online" is to create a blog, choose a niche, and promote products from other companies to earn commissions. But the question is, does it end there?
The answer is no, it does not have to end there. You have to think "growth".
How can you grow your blog and make it produce more money for you, right?
Create A Scalable Product That Your Audience Will Love
What is scalable? This means something that you can create and expand later on. For example, you chose to create an ebook to sell on your food website. Whatever this book may be, you thought of "scaling" it later on by offering a steep discount on a membership to a community you'd create in the near future (if they buy this book) or by offering a course on how to create an ebook (also discounted if they buy the book).
There's a gajillion ways I can explain this and give ideas on how you can scale this example and those two are just some of them. In short, what I'm trying to relay here is that you should not stop your business from growing by just promoting affiliate products and writing reviews.
But my hands are full, Kimmy.
Yes, and I say - you create one simple product, set and forget (for the most part unless your product will have to be constantly updated). Then, you can now offer your own affiliate marketing program. Affiliate partners will then partner with you to promote your product on their site. Do you see where I'm going with this?
This is a lot to take in. I know. I'm just sharing one way to scale your blog for more growth.
Bookmark this or save it somewhere for future reference in case you think you're ready for this next step.
Anyone here who has scaled their blog by creating their own products wanna share their story? We'd love to hear them!

That sounds really great! I'm still working on content and traffic and selling affiliate products! What is Disperse Camping? Is it different than regular camping? Hiking sounds great too--not so much with large bears!
Great post! Very motivating!
Barbara
Disperse camping is more primitive because you do not camp on designated campgrounds with toilets and stuff, but instead, you drive along Forest Service Roads (where the paved roads end and it turns into low standard roads aka bumpy roads) and scout for "good camping spots". For the most part, there's no toilet and you pack-in-pack-out. The one thing I love about this is that I get to be alone in the woods without anyone around me (except for whoever I'm with). A great way to really enjoy nature.
That really sounds great! I have never done that before but it sounds like it would be beautiful!

I'm promoting books that I write, but am not thinking about affiliating, but one never knows, Kimmy!
Jeff
Hey Jeffrey,
That's great - you have your own books! Hopefully you are creating great landing pages and funnels to bring in the money! Keep it up!
Some great advice here, Kimmy. Having your own quality product and recruiting affiliates is a great way to scale up.

Never heard of disperse camping off the grid yes. A friend of mine has a very large mobile home and a very large generator and he takes it way into the woods near
kamloops b.c. canada and party's also fishes and hunts. Not exactly my choice of adventure but I will do a day trip😁
What makes it not your choice of adventure? Don't like the woods and it's living elements such as bears and cats? For me, one reason I go is to conquer my fear of the forest. To learn about it and be away from humans. :D
Oh I love the outdoors
I don't agree with my friends idea of camping. Bringing a large motor home isn't exactly roughing it ha ha.
When I was younger I went on many camping trips with friends in a tent or sleeping outdoors in the woods under a lean to. Also feeding the birds whiskey jacks as they are very fearless and will eat out of your hand.
Our mother grew up on the farm and as kids we saw dozens of kittens and little puppies born in our kitchen who needed computer! animals kept us busy😁
We slept with the cats and the little dogs we had would lie by our bed it was pretty cool when I look back at it a different time. In the city we had pigeons, cats, dogs, turtles, fish, rabbits all sorts of creatures.
So I'am not afraid of the outdoors I'am just a lot older now and my last cat died at 17yrs old a few yrs ago and I had my parrot stuffed and he sits on a perch but It's too hard when they pass away so I won't be getting another pet for a while.
Anyway have a great week all the best!
I see! I was under the impression you didn't like the outdoors (but I was very doubtful so I had to ask!). And yes, when our animals leave it's pretty tough. I don't like it but that's how life is. x.x
