can someone tell me how i can switch back to my old hosting(host gator) from site rubix.

What are you trying to do?
Point your domain to HostGator, is that it? If it is, you need to go to your domain management settings and change the domain nameservers so they point to HostGator instead of WA servers (SiteRubix).

yes. Thank you louie

No problem, Ilario! :)

What Labman said ==vvv

Change the DNS back to point to Hostgator.

do i do that on here or on hostgator?

This question is for the ones who have skin in the game. I havent monetized my site yet simply because I have been trying to add some content on it. I have 7 pages, 8 posts, an

I usually wait awhile to let Google index and rank my posts. Are you already ranked?
As far as content goes you have enough content to start monetizing it.

I wouldn't mix AdSense ads with posts where I had affiliate links, though.

Thanks for the reply Louie. And yes indexed and ranked ! Not a lot of traffic though

Awesome. Now it's up to you. Either you wait a bit more to go up in the rankings or start monetizing your posts now.

Absolutely yes.

Yes of course, its also great that you have already gotten 17 subscribers so fast :)

Thanks man, im going to look into google adsense. Im literally getting subscribers every single day and i only have 2 videos up. my last video is almost at 400 views and the other is almost at 200 views. Not even a lot of views yet and im getting at least one subscriber everyday.

so i checked my bank statement and noticed that hostgator is still charging me a monthly fee. Since my site is being hosted by siterubix, is it safe to go ahead and cancel with

If everything (content) has been transferred from HostGator to WA's SiteRubix, yeah, it's safe.

This has been my major challenge and with a long time to think about this, i came to the conclusion that I dont want to be the "uber guy" or uberman like the guy from youtube.

Hey there Ilario! Happy New Year!

I think you've got the wrong impression concerning authority websites.

An authority website differs from a niche website in that the former focuses on more than just one niche as opposed to the latter.

Example:
1) Healthy Life focuses on exercise, nutrition, resting and enjoying life.
2) Nutrition Hut focuses on nutrition recipes.

1) is an authority website (all related niches, mind you) and 2) is just a niche website.

You could show up on tons of YouTube videos and author every blog post on your website and still be able to sell the website in the future. The new owner would just keep signing his/her blog posts as you or simply add a new author to the team of writers on the blog. And a new guy to be featured on the YouTube videos.

aaah i see! this makes sense. thank you louie

What I've explained does not mean that the owner of a niche website can't ever be considered the authority in his/her niche. But, even so, he/she could still be able to sell the website. (In fact, there would be even much more people trying to buy it.)

your right, i was just afraid that by building authority in this niche, it would become harder to get into anything else without being looked at as the uber guy...that...i dont want

Imagine that you would be seen as the Uber Guy one day: 1) That would be awesome; 2) You could start another blog in another niche and if people knew you from the "Uber" niche (which doesn't always happen) that would only help you, because you would be bringing that "authority" aura to the new niche; 3) Plus, being known in one niche doesn't stop you from being known in several other niches; 4) Finally, you could come up with a different (and fake) persona. You don't really need to use your name all the time.

Spot on louie. I didn't think of it that way, but it totally makes sense

Glad I could help. :)
