When Love Says Goodbye

Some people meet their soulmates when they are kids. Others are fortunate enough to the one when they are in college.

Well, it doesn't really matter where one finds love as long as you are certain he/she is the one. There's no better thing on earth like being with your better half. Sharing the limited time, you have on earth is surreal even though it's a sweet combination of laughter and tears.

Falling in love has been the primary theme used by corporates to reach out to their target audience for many years. Yes! if you are as old as me you can get into 'retrospection mode' then you'll realize so many songs released in the 80s and 90s focused on girl/boy falling in love.

Apart from all the excitement around love, there's a bitter part which deals with saying goodbye.

You see, sometimes a love relationship after many twists and turns weighs down on people. While one person might be trying to make it work, another may have transcended to another dimension creating a persona characterized by being detached from the things happening around them.

At this point as humans, we'll understand love has to say goodbye.

I just had the opportunity to read an interesting line from Haruki Murakami's book titled 'Blind Willow Sleeping Woman: 24 stories' and I quote...

'He was silent for thirty seconds, maybe a minute. I uncrossed my legs under the table and wondered if this was the right time to leave. It was as if my whole life revolved around trying to judge the right point in a conversation to say goodbye.'

Love is a bittersweet experience. It's fantastic when it's there and devastating when it's time to say goodbye. This scenario can be better epitomized by the poet Alfred Tennyson in the poem 'In Memoriam' when he says 'Tis better to have loved and lost than to have never loved at all.'

In the final analysis, being in love is fundamental for the well-being of every human. That notwithstanding, should there be a period to say goodbye, just fall in line with all the content and training you've received on how to conquer adversity and just by getting up in the morning you may find the courage to say LIFE GOES ON.

You just quoted my favorite Author. I had all his books, then got rid of them as I started turning into a sheep. Lol

PS: I'm an optimist, it doesn't always end in parting.

Glad you found it interesting πŸ™πŸ™You got a point there... it doesn't always end in parting.πŸ‘

Yes, I know.
My parents are an example.
They have been married for 60 years, such marriages are rare.

Good luck 🀞 never to late.

Greetings,
Slavka πŸ‘‹
