What's important is that it's humor...and that's good! Thanx, we can all use a smile,chuckle,etc...
Ha-ha - excellent. Lovely sunfish! It's trout we go for here in Scotland - and if you're posh enough to own fishing rights to a river, Salmon :)
For fishing, I recommend (ahem) the following book never: “Saltwater Fishing” by Barry Cuda.
Cheers, Mark
Hi John - yep, that's pretty much it in a nutshell :)
Go for a nice wander in the hills, and maybe cast a line or two - and take home dinner...
I remember my granda taking me fishing up the Touch (place near Stirling where I grew up) - it was a crappy (no pun) day - it was raining, I fell in the water and got soaked. But we caught some trout.
Trouble is, the "gamey" caught us - and asked us what we were doing - being no-more than a kid at the time, I let my Granda do the talking. The "gamey" said unless we gave him all the fish we caught, he'd call the "polis" (or the "authorities/police" to anyone not from where I was from) and they would arrest us and put us in "the jail" (prison).
I was physically shaking when my granda gave him only 2 of the 5 fish I knew we'd caught, and were in his bag. I was convinced, as a young lad of about 7 or 8, that I was going to go to the jail...
A true fisherman my granda "Jimmy"!
Thanks for the memories guys - great post!
Mark
I've only been fishing once in my life! Did catch 16 yellow fin Tuna in Cabo! However; did understand your fish humor and enjoyed it! Thank you for sharing it!
