I Made My First Sale!

Hello WA community!

I would like to share my excitement over MY FIRST SALE with you! I'm excited and relieved to see it finally happened! This shows me I'm on the right track, though I know I have a lot more work to do to improve my low conversion rate.

Here are a few details about me/my site/what I've done so far/my sale:

• Joined WA exactly 3 months and 1 day ago, been premium all but a few days of that
• I blog about cloth diapering, some eco-friendly topics (mainly green cleaning at this point, will expand)
• Google and I still aren't BFFs, but I think it's starting to notice me a tad
• Pinterest drives 95% of my traffic
• Joined Tailwind for Pinterest a few weeks ago and it boosted my traffic from single digits per day to 50-100 per day (so still low by many people's standards, but feels like an accomplishment to me at this point)
• Joined some other "blogger help" groups on Facebook, but they haven't been as helpful as WA (which make sense as the groups are free and I'm paying for help and training here)
• My sale was at Amazon for a specific kind of cloth diaper I promoted, but commission was only 2.5% and I think it's because the buyer went with a different color pack than what I linked (does Amazon give less commission for that? Baby products are supposed to be 4.5%)
• 57 articles published (was writing 5-6 articles a week the first two months, but due to the busyness and need for family time this holiday season, I've slowed a bit the last few weeks)
• Share to Facebook, Twitter, G+, and Pinterest, though the first 3 I am in "share only" mode right now, and focusing a lot more on Pinterest. I also have some YouTube videos.

That's about it. I'm feeling pretty happy right now, and hoping it's only a matter of time before sales are a little more steady.
