Twitter Account Re-Vamp
This could have been my sad Twitter Tale but I'm glad to say that it's just the opposite. I spent quite a lot of time building up my 18,600 targeted following on Twitter. You can imagine my dismay when I went to re-tweet something and got a message from Twitter letting me know that I was not allowed to do so and even worse I could no longer follow anyone.
Once I realized I was in the dreaded Twitter Jail, I started to search for a way to get out of it. Didn't find the solution, but I did become more aware of the Twitter rules that I had been breaking.
I decided on drastic action - I got rid of the third party apps that were scheduling my tweets as well as the tweets that linked to sale pages. Lo and behold, I am out of jail and free to make a fresh start (I've still got my followers) -YIPEE.
Unfortunately, I did notice that my WA clicks went down dramatically. That showed me that: (1) Most of my clicks were coming from Twitter, so its a great place to market WA (2) If I improve my marketing skills e.g. use more funnels etc I should be able to get more referrals.
Note to myself: STOP SENDING PEOPLE DIRECTLY TO SALES PAGES and make sure that EVERY piece of content is providing value to my target audience.
BTW - I would compare reading Twitter's rules to a hypochondriac reading a medical dictionary. So I am going to concentrate on providing value and trust that will overcome them.

Yes, unfortunately, most people go for automation for social media, not knowing that almost every provider outlaws automation. This is to keep the playing field level, and is actually a good thing. They want social media to be social, not just a bunch of bots posting stuff.
great info, thank you
