Week 1 Kenya.
As y'all know my boy is competing in Kenya.. this is the first tournament since his stomach injury 6 weeks ago.
We had hoped he would get some local tournaments in before we got here but the muscles needed more time. So he came having not played a full match in about 2 months and not serving at all.. I was worried about how things would go.. as y'all know and you were all so supportive! Well this is week 1 update...
He has got his mojo back, he played 3 full singles matches, losing to an Italian boy in the QF .. not bad.. his first serve percentage let him down, to be expected but a significant step forward and a huge relief.. no pain !
Doubles was a different matter.. he partnered up with his South African pal that he won the final in Rwanda in the summer with.. and whilst they didn't win the final this time, the match was very tight and entertaining ! By the final match my boy had a much improved first serve percentage.. a really encouraging result going into week 2.. proud mom here! Worries me when he's injured, that it could be so serious to affect his ability to be pro.. but for now, he's fighting fit again!

Hi Helen,
This is great to know he back competing and training. Getting his mojo back is important.
Wishing him all the best.
You have not indicated which young gentleman is your son, I am going to go for # 4.
Anyone else want to guess before the answer is revealed, by Helen.

Hi Helen,
How are you and your son. OK now I know it is one or the other, the tension is building. I am pretty sure I know which one is your son. Just in case how about a clue.
