My website progress in ten weeks
I've been eleven weeks as premium member of WA and ten weeks ago I built my very first website after following the courses. But I was not sure about the niche that I've chosen, so I decided to make another website for promoting WA and follow the affiliate bootcamp.
My progress in building my website is very slow because I have to write articles about things that I don't have much knowledge about. I have to do a lot of readings in order to write the articles.
Two weeks ago (2 Sept) when I tried to check out the rankings of the articles of my site, I found out that one of my articles 'ways to avoid scams online' is on page 5 on google. But a week later the ranking was down to ranking 151 page 15. Today the ranking is down again. It is ranking 156 page 16.
I don't know what makes the ranking down so quickly. Anyhow, it still motivates me to write a better articles for my site.
Thank you for all the helps and supports from my fellow WA members, Kyle, and Carson. I've learned a lot from all of you.

Perhaps I'll do a little bit revisions here and there and adding more info into the articles. Who knows it will rank better.

Hello Quincy, thanks for your support. I know that having the ranking down can be discouraging, but I try to think positively about it. Ranking down or up should encourage me to create a better articles for my site.

Just focus on the positives. Your first site, and you ranked - what an achievement!
There is a saying about the "Google Dance".
It basically means that your ranking can fluctuate wildly for a new site before it finally settles!
Don't do anything drastic and keep an eye on your keyword to see when it stabilises.

Hahaha this is the first time I heard that 'Google Dance". Is it salsa or tango moves? That's why the rankings ups and downs wildly, especially for a new site which is not settled yet like mine. I understand it now :-)

There is a good thing to notice as well.....what ranked then fell also means you had those keywords and a good way to use them BEFORE those others...read some of the higher ones to see what was done differently and apply it in future srticles.
Good point, Rosie. I will do your advice by reading some of the higher rankings and to learn from them. I hope I will be able to write better articles in the future.

What I do know is that google will trust your site as you publish more work and get more comments and followers. Keep doing what you're doing and, eventually, it will start to happen. Don't give up!
Yes, you are right Debbie. I should publish more work and get more comments/followers. But it always takes time for me to write an article. I'm not so good in writing although I do my best. I'm not so confident too with my site because it doesn't have enough article yet.

Hopefully it will be doing better now that this wedding is over and I can spend more time here and less time making projects for the wedding! I have seen good things start to happen with my page so I know if we keep on trying it will eventually happen.
The more you write, the more comfortable you will get with it - just keep writing!
