Hi, I'm Heather - welcome to my profile page!

I would describe myself as a hopeful new enterprenueur. Joining Wealthy Affiliate is the first step into an exiting new world for me.

I've always had a keen interest in health - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual. And having been diagnosed this past year with Rheumatoid Arthritis, I'm even more aware of how all these aspects of our lives effect each other.

My goal is to share discoveries and insights that I come as I learn how to better take care of myself. Hopefully, my experiences can help equip and encourage other people to live more thoughtful, and joyful, lives!

You can check out some articles I've already written at the HubPages website (under Heather Adams). Enjoy!

Dear Heather, thank you for follow and i appreciate your comments on my profile. I think you are doing amazing work to bring awareness and help for people who are suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis. Heather: Thank you so much for your follow. I appreciate it very much and welcome to my network of fabulous WAers. My network is about two things.

1) I encourage every follower to regularly post a blog with WORTHY content to other WAers. Obviously, if you blog once a day your ranking will quickly move up in WA. However, please understand that I only blog approximately once every two weeks and in the back of my mind I am only blogging to my followers in an attempt to provide the best example (of my writing skills) that I can. Why! Your website will only be successful if you post quality pieces to it. Frequently, that requires that you learn to write even better than you do now.

2) I try to HELP my followers every time they run into a snag with their websites to the best of my ability. If that is not good enough, I will refer you to other HELPERS at WA that will definitely be able to help you. So if you run into a problem here at WA, please let me try to assist you.

Please remember that Kyle, Carson, you and me are not WA. WA is thousands of students learning the concepts of e-commerce and the hundreds of WAers that learn to blog regularly for the delight of the community as they attempt to hone their various writing skills.

If I am not already, I will look forward to FOLLOWING you also. Welcome to My Network! DAN

Thank you for the nice note, Dan. I started out trying for a blog at least every other day. But during the last week or so, I 've had to slow down. I love writing, and am slowly learning about all the rest. My hope is that my site will become a little community of it's own someday. But first I have to generate some traffic!

If you ever want to check out my site, it's www.livingwithra.com. Take care and have a great start to your week! Heather

I think that your niche is a good one. The site itself is very professional. However, I found it a little dark where the main theme is living with RA. Looks very professional but a little dar.

My main concern though, as it pertains to your site, it the sudden appearance of various bike posts. Is there a logical connection between bikes and outdoor equipment and RA. If so I didn't find it. Please let me know what that connection is.

Kyle spends an inordinate amount of time reminding us here at WA that our niches drive niche type sales and not sales that have little to do with our niche. If there is a connection between the bikes and RA that might help a great deal. If that is the case then make that connection more profound in your website. These are a few of my thoughts. Site looks great, a little dark for the topic, and unaligned hyperlinks for products not relevant to RA. DAN

Hi Dan - thanks very much for taking the time to look at my site. I am confused, though, as to the bike posts. I never wrote anything about that, so where could they have come from??
Could you explain more about what you mean by dark? I am trying to make my posts straightforward with information, but encouraging in terms of action points. Am I missing that somehow?
I'm glad to hear it looks good, so in that sense I'm on the right track. Again, I really appreciate the feedback! Heather :)

P.S. I looked at my site just now and didn't see any other posts but mine. Can you tell me where on the site you saw them? Thanks...

I will take another look but what I saw originally, mixed into the more professional pieces was posts regarding all types of bicycles, parts, and accessories. However, I will check again. I may be going mad.

As to dark! Your topic is great albeit about a very debilitating problem with many Americans. You use dark blue and black lettering (I think the lettering was black) as you talk about your very serious site. My thought was that you might want to lighten up the color scheme in your theme so it appears to be lighter and not so dark for a rather dark (yet helpful) subject with great content. DAN

Heather: I think that your site has a problem. In your related links go down to number three from the top. When I click on that related link (this time) I got all sorts of info on women's shoe. Started over and went to the third one down and I got info on the "defense industry." Somehow on the third related link (to the left side of your site) you are getting some type of bleed through from somewhere else. The bikes are gone but now its women shoes and the defense industry. Now I know that I am not going crazy. Please take a look for yourself. DAN

Oh - I get what you mean now about being dark - and that's a great point. I will certainly take a look at that, and what my theme allows for a changes in letter color or scheme.
That's weird about the bicycle stuff - no wonder you were confused when you thought I added them in! I meant to ask someone else to look on their computer, too, to see if they saw what you did. I've heard about some sites getting hacked and wondered after your note this morning if that happened somehow to mine.
Anyway, thanks so much for getting back to me, and all the great feedback. I hope the rest of your week is a great one! Heather

Are you seeing that on my home page, or on one of the post pages maybe? I don't have anything on the left on my screen or that says related links. I looked all over though, and I still don't see them. I checked earlier in the dashboard too, and didn't see anything extra. Is there another way I can track them down?

Thanks Heather. I just plan to work on my website the rest of the week and help people like you that run into a snag. DAN

gooddogpoky2 Premium
Yes. Ask MarionBlack or Ignorant to take a look at the problem from their computers and ask them if they see the same concerns and what they would suggest you do to fix it. The problem is real but could be masked from your computer for one reason or another. You have to get this fixed. Sorry I am not smart enough to tell you what the problem is but MarionBlack and Ignorant...well they just about know everything. lol DAN

Heather - you have a lot to offer in your niche. I tackled your site just after I had put on my IcyHot gel and Ace wrist straps to get the day under way. I have the challenge of a wheel chair (no legs) giving shock to my hands on a regular basis. I have used fingerless cycling gloves for prolonged wheelchair activity (grip and appropriate padding) since I rely on hands and arms for my transfers. Thanks for your discussions; I look forward to more. Larry

Hi Larry - thank you for your kind words. I really appreciate your input as someone who is "in the fight" like I am. Your profile is inspirational to me (as many others, I'm sure) because you are taking your rough experiences and turning them into blessing for others. I admire your resolve and your attitude!! All the best for the new year, Heather :)

Hi Heather!

Thank you for following me. I will check out the pages you wrote on HubPages. You could develop an awesome niche site on Rheumatoid Arthritis. There is a lot of misinformation out there about this disease but I am sure you can set the record straight on many topics surrounding it. You have more first hand experience than others do, so you are in a perfect position.

The one thing I would advise if you do a niche site on Rheumatoid Arthritis is to put a medical disclaimer on there saying you are not a doctor and your advice should not be taken as medical advice that they should consult their physician, etc.

Have a great day. I am following you in return Heather!

Steph

Hi, Heather. Thank you for following me back. It's good that you are interested in the holistic view of Health in general. You could write a topic about RA in your web. This could be your niche. How it affects our life as a whole. There are lot of people out there suffering from Rheumatoid Arthritis. It's a chronic, hereditary and debilitating disease. There are certain foods to avoid to lessen it's symptoms but these won't stop it from progressing. It tends to get worse as you get older. If you need help on this topic, you can count me in. Looking forward to your site soon. Take care :)

My site actually is focused on RA, so I'm glad to hear you think I could have a positive impact with it. (www.livingwellwithra.com) And I appreciate your offer to share your expertise - I'd love to take you up on that! ☺

Hi Hadams, I haven't got anything up on my site about RA because I have so many illnesses that Hypnosis works on that I can't keep up. I classify RA under chronic illness so I might write a page on that which would include RA. I made contact with you because I read your website and can see that you could be GREATLY helped by Hypnosis. I have much work to do yet on my website, but I'm doing Hypnosis inbetween so I have lots to do overall. Still, your website interested me.
