Celebrating Milestones
As of Saturday, I've published 20 posts - a small milestone to be sure, but still a milestone!
There was a time when I wouldn't have stopped to acknowledge reaching this point. I'd be so busy looking ahead to the next goal that I would miss the joy of savoring what I'd just accomplished. It felt like wasted time.
But I think it's important to look back sometimes as well as forward. When I done that before, I've often see how far I've come: things I've learned, ways I've changed for the better. It's reminded me of all the times I've been puzzled and confused, then found my way.
Looking back shows me the bigger picture of my journey, and keeps me from getting lost in the day-to-day grind. I used to think celebrating along the way would lead me to be lazy and to slow down. But it's been the opposite. The more I acknowledge the little "wins" along the path, the more motivated I am to get working again - what can I accomplish next??
No matter where you are on the journey here at WA (or in life) - newbie, expert or anywhere in between - make sure you take time to enjoy how far you've come. And let what you see inspire you onward!

Hey Adel! I just read over your 1-month report. Wow -you've come a long way! I have been keeping tabs on my rank, etc, but I have to say the bulk of my attention has been on getting content up. I think that's partly because I'm more confident in that area for now. But I do really enjoy connecting with you and other WA-ers, too. So hopefully I'll find the right balance.
