Morning everyone, so I check my emails this morning and see someone has left a comment on my site. I have no idea what it means so I was hoping some of my community members can help. To me looks like spam and I tried the url of the site and it does not load. Here is the message

Hello Web Admin, I noticed that your On-Page SEO is is missing a few factors, for one you do not use all three H tags in your post, also I notice that you are not using bold or italics properly in your SEO optimization. On-Page SEO means more now than ever since the new Google update: Panda. No longer are backlinks and simply pinging or sending out a RSS feed the key to getting Google PageRank or Alexa Rankings, You now NEED On-Page SEO. So what is good On-Page SEO?First your keyword must appear in the title. Then it must appear in the URL.You have to optimize your keyword and make sure that it has a nice keyword density of 3-5% in your article with relevant LSI (Latent Semantic Indexing). Then you should spread all H1,H2,H3 tags in your article.Your Keyword should appear in your first paragraph and in the last sentence of the page. You should have relevant usage of Bold and italics of your keyword. There should be one internal link to a page on your blog and you should have one image with an alt tag that has your keyword....wait there's even more Now what if i told you there was a simple Wordpress plugin that does all the On-Page SEO, and automatically for you? That's right AUTOMATICALLY, just watch this 4minute video for more information at. <a href="http://www.SeoOptimizationGuide.com" rel="nofollow">Seo Plugin</a>

SPAM - delete it. When you are addressed as the Web Admin and there is no relevant information in the message to your site, when it look like a generic message and does not interact with you it is SPAM!

As much as it is true... the fact that this spam contains valuable information is also true. So I would also suggest (besides trashing) to copy the info on a notepad for SEO reference.

Ok mate, you need to set up an account with akismet when you do decide to activate it, they give you an activation code. top tip = you only need one code to activate the plugin on as many blogs as you like

I get the same message all the time as well, I use the akismet plugin now and no more spam on my sites

Thanks bazboy247, I have not yet activated that plug in because never got spam but will in the near future.

Spam. I received an exactly same message. I saved it in spam (or trash, whichever I don't remember). See whenever a comment has a link to another website, they are mostly used to link back to other web pages which may then take away traffic from your site.

Thanks Arka, I just trashed it .

You are welcome - Please try to remember to like followers and comments. It's appreciated by all.

I've seen this before. It's spam, for sure. :)

Thanks for advice

yea that's definitely spam. If someone leaves a comment that is not pertaining to your niche, just a bunch of info, it's spam. also spam comments also have a bunch of links in them. Did you activate your akismet yet?

1

No I did not activate that yet.

Ohh by the way my keyword is in the title of my page and in the first paragraph as Kyle shows us.

Its Spam and can be deleted. If the comment does not directly engage your content then it is more then likely spam and should just be deleted.

Don't look at it as a bad thing as the better your rankings in the search engines the more spam you will see.
