We Could Get Easy Backlinks on WA
It has become quite clear to me that i´m going to struggle to get any of my sites ranked highly on google without backlinks. I´ve been trying to study the subject for a few days now and some of the posts on here about it are 5 years old and pretty much redundant, i just don´t know if these techniques still work and many of the links don´t work or exist.
The solution seems obvious to me so i´m writing this to ask why this can´t or hasn´t been done......
I have a site about Cat Houses, the feline variety, so if i found another WA user who has a site about something similar, but different, maybe cat health or cat collars is there any reason we could not help each other out with a backlink to our sites?
Even better would be if WA could set up something which would make the search process easier to find sites similar but different to your own within the WA community.
Now i realise these are not "High Quality" back links, but they´d certainly help if you could get a few of them.
So, i guess i´ll just sit here and wait for the experienced guys to tell me why this idea sucks, and if it doesn´t suck could the people with cat related or humour related sites please get in touch with me for what seem like "Easy Backlinks"?

Hi I know a few people have mentioned about trying to link people and sites together, even to share info and support each other within a niche.
I think it's just the practicality - it's similar to what Dom is just blogging about with outreach tactics to share with other bloggers in your niche.
Maybe try a WA blog with the title looking for cat sites and see if you can collect interested people and websites in the comments section.
Thanks M....thought i´d just check out the ethics before reaching out. If there´s not a problem i´ll definitely be looking for people to help me and who i can help. It seems like win/win to me.
To be honest if you know someone within WA that has a niche site in connection with your own I cannot see so much of an issue with linking.
It is when the links are completely from non relevant sites that they do not do you any good at all.. and sometimes can cause harm.
Certainly I would stay clear of this link building sites that offer you so many hundreds of links for X amount of dollars... !

Great idea Dec. I don't know how it can be done. I have linked to a few WA-sites from my site, but I happened to stumble upon those relevant sites because they were mentioned in a blog, or I saw it in the comment or feedback-section. Didn't give me any links back, but that was not my goal at the time. I just wanted to give my readers some additional info.Hopefully we will get some kind of feature at WA that list members sites (for those who don't mind showing) That would be helpful in more ways than for backlinks.
