So I injured myself this past week showing off for my 3 year old who is really into skateboarding at the moment. You see I skateboarded from the age of 13 to just over 30 when the fear set in and I slowly stopped. doing my favorite thing in the world.
Fast forward nearly ten years and my son is now interested in the sport that I had loved for so long. So I break out my board and we head to the skatepark. I start off slowly, riding around, hitting the ramps and banks one by one...building up confidence.
I get on and off the board in order to show my son some things and encourage him as he practices pushing himself around and climbing up the ramps and other obstacles.

Then I get a little too confident and say "Hey Bud, watch this!" at which point I hang up at the top of a ledge and tumble straight down. using my arm to break my fall. I hear a snap and know that instant, that I've definitely broken something.
So there it is I'm off work for a few weeks. I figured that I could view this negatively, because being off work is horrible, monetarily speaking. Or I could except the things I could not change and do something productive, viewing this as a blessing in disguise. So here it is....My second website............. www.thegrumpybartender.com
Come on by, leave me some remarks or feedback. thsnks for reading and hope to hear from you soon.
