been disconcerting, nearly 100 articles written and still no sales. I've been putting the content on social media and started a youtube channel as well to try to drive more traffic.

Excellent progress, gurdeep! Keep at it, your time will come soon, I suspect!

Jeff

Hey Gurdeep,

I won't mention the ads, you don't want me shoving that advice down your throat as well as everyone else, but they are all COMPLETELY CORRECT.

Are you actually getting any traffic?

The reason I ask is because ALL your articles are targeting keywords that are FAR TOO COMPETITIVE.

So, it's hugely unlikely that anything will rank in the search engines for many years, if at all, for this keyword selection.

Therefore, you literally are only ever going to get traffic via social to these articles, and obviously that will only happen consistently when you have a decent following on the social networks.

As an example, your latest article "Cardio in Bodybuilding" is an EXTREMELY competitive keyword.

Plus, you have probably two of the biggest websites in this niche ranking on page one for most of your keywords.

I absolutely love

Bodybuilding(dot)com

and

T-Nation

for the information they provide, but I would NEVER personally try to compete with the main websites with my content.

Both of these website have separate forums, so if you find keywords where the FORUMS ARE RANKING ON PAGE ONE, then you can write those articles, as you can outrank these.

It is much easier to rank above a forum than the main huge authority websites.

Realistically, the types of keywords you're targeting are what all the BIG BIOS in this niche target.

Your aim for the first 12 months of blogging at least is to avoid trying to compete against these websites.

It's a battle you will always lose.

I will also say I found the email sign up form extremely annoying each time I went to a new page.

Don't be desperate to "shove it people's faces".

Extend the time for the sign up box to appear after 30-45 seconds.

Basically, and I mean this in the nicest possible way Gurdeep,

You're targeting highly competitive keywords that it's literally impossible to rank for.

If you ever do get visitors to your site, you're scaring them off with the ads, and the email sign up box popping up every 2 seconds.

Hope that helps.

although the keywords I have targed so far have had QSR less than 100 as recommended. Should I go for QSR less than 20 from now on?

for me far too many ads and blocks to get ot the information and closed your site...
clicking on a category caused an ad to appear...
but prior to that there was a popup to signup before i had a chance to read anything...
then closing the ad i got ot the category only to have the signup popup appear before i could even scroll ...
very poor user experience...
i would suggest to install microsoft clarity and see if you can 'look' over any visitors shoulders t osee how they interact....
your site may be covering too wide a range of topics, but that is down ot personal choice...
does your content answer problems your niche have or are they mainly promotions...

I just tried to access your site on mobile but there’s SO many advertisements I gave up. That’s your problem.

As soon as your site becomes more about ‘earning’ and less about ‘giving value’, you’ll start to struggle.

I mean, I got a popup and I couldn’t even close it. If Google detects that, there’s no way you’ll get ranked. Poor user experience.

I had the same experience.

I got rid of the popup now and reduced the ads, will take time for there to be less ads. There is a lot more informative content on the site than there is reviews with affiliate links.

What keyword difficulty are you going after. Do you have any backlinks?
