...with yourself?
Very often the kinds of relationships we have are a reflection of our own relationship with ourselves. If we are kind, loving, understanding and forgiving to ourselves, we will generally be so with others. Being in a state of constant anger, negativity, struggle and disagreement with ourselves is what we attract in return from outside.
Having a healthy relationship also means taking time for ourselves, finding a good balance between working and resting, taking time for (self) reflection, paying attention to our health, finding a balance between giving and taking.
Many people think they are only "good" if they spend all their time giving to others:their children, their spouses, their parents.... I say you can't give what you don't have. If you do not love and take care of yourself, how can you do that for someone else effectively?
My encouragement for today, take time to love yourself, be kind to yourself, spoil yourself, and enjoy it! Make it a point this week to have all the best ingredients in your life to feel good about yourself - self-care, enough rest, time to reflect, a good portion of fun, even more laughter, and anything that makes your soul sing and your heart dance.
And don't allow anyone to convince you that you are being selfish!!
