"My titles are simple and to the point.
I ask myself, "what am I discussing on this page in 5 words or less." Then I make a headline out of it. Here is an example of my headline for "pacemaker candidates." http://www.healthtopics4you.info/pacemaker-candidates-why-me.html
That headline resulted in that page being ranked in the top 10 on Google for years. That gets people's attention. Last check my page was number 7. I get lots of traffic on that page.
I discovered this technique by accident but it sure works.

I liked that answer so much that I decided to publish my comment in this article.
It's pretty competitive out there trying to get a good rank on the search engines. What I discovered is that simple is better. Simple headline. Simple description. Write the article in a natural style like you are speaking to a friend about something.
I like to ask myself, "how can I help someone answer a question?" For pacemakers, folks wanted to know who is a prime candidate for a pacemaker? Or what makes a cardiologist decide to stick a pacemake in someone? That's what people want to know so I simply explain my story and how I qualified for a pacemaker. Your article is more credible if you speak about something you experienced or is a part of your life.
So basically less is more and simple gets you ranked in my experience
