Online Success May Not Come How You Expect

You probably signed up to Wealthy Affiliate with the expectation you will have a successful online business like the ones you hear about on Youtube or all those websites trying to grab your attention.

To be fully transparent, my success did not come easily nor quickly.

It takes a lot of work, time, and patience.

That said, I am successful in creating a business that is profitable and is something I really enjoy.

When joining this platform you may read stories about people that have created a booming business from the training and support here at WA.

I can't speak for the others but I can tell you that the training and support have helped me create my profitable business.

Do I make my money from affiliate programs, the answer is No!

Well, I do make some affiliate income but not enough to quit my day job.

Actually, I started a woodworking business with my wife.

You may be wondering how did the training at WA help me become a woodworker.

It didn't help me figure out the woodworking part. I am self-taught for that part.

Where Wealthy Affiliate really shines is helping us understand all the possibilities available to make an income.

Stick to the program. Listen carefully to what Wealthy Affiliate is teaching. On the surface, it may sound like they are providing basic information on how to start making money with affiliate marketing.

In the end, you will realize that they were supporting you to make your own decision of how you want to build your business.

I came here thinking I will just create a website, do some reviews and start getting paid.

Surprise, Surprise, nobody read my reviews. Why would they!? I know I wouldn't.

There was no backstory, no real-life experience using those products.

The good part is that I was learning, becoming more and more comfortable writing blogs and editing my websites.

After learning so many life lessons with different levels of failures and successes. You will understand who you are and what you want to do.

No, the road to this point wasn't easy.

Do wish I did things differently? Maybe some things, mainly not being persuaded by greed and impatience.

In the end, I figured out that I enjoy helping people. I know how to do woodworking so now I help people who want to do woodworking. I review woodworking equipment and supplies and people are truly appreciative of the assistance I provide.

This to me would be successful enough, but the success tends to snowball once it starts.

With the knowledge from WA, I was able to create a professional website, link to appropriate social media apps to create a successful local business, and now in the planning phase for global success.

Customers are reassured when accessing our website for information about our business, what we build and how we build it.

Our business is fully transparent and this reassures our customers, especially in the current pandemic situation we find ourselves in right now.

It goes without saying I still have lots to learn but when I look back when I started, there is so much I did not know.

I'm sure I will still make mistakes, still be tempted by other promises but now I am better equipped to avoid these pitfalls.

All you need to do is keep an open mind, keep learning, you will find your way of creating success for yourself.

Even though Wealthy Affiliate offers more than I can manage right now, I will continue using Wealthy Affiliate to help those that I can, and, heck, it's still one of the greatest deals for the website hosting part on its own.
