I'm Suffering From SSS (Not Coronavirus)
Yes, I'm suffering from SSS, but I don't think that there's a shot that would cure it. If there was, I'd get it.
By the way, I chose the above picture because It's got an old guy in it, like me. Heh.
So, you might be asking, what is SSS?
Maybe I should make you guess for a while before I answer.
Nah. I'll spit it out.
SSS stands for what I call Self-Sabotage Syndrome. It's what stops some of us from succeeding. We start to see progress, and for some reason or other we shut ourselves down so we don't have to deal with the success.
Personal example: During the stay-at-home order because of covid, instead of taking advantage of my time at home to work on my websites, I've basically spent my time in front of the TV watching reruns and Netflix movies.
This post is the first work I've done since the coronavirus started.
To paraphrase Psychology Today, self-sabotaging behavior results from a misguided attempt to insulate ourselves from our own negative attitudes.
Are you suffering like I am?
Gosh, I hope not!
If you are, SSS can be cured.
You can't go to a doctor to get cured, though. You have to cure yourself.
I have to cure myself, too.
Others can help with advice and encouragement, but they can't make attitude changes for me. I have to do it myself.
What it takes is a commitment, and follow through.
We'll see if I can do it.
Thanks for reading, and leave me your ideas of how to get myself out of my funk.
Thanks for reading my cry for help.
I'm Grant.

Thanks for this post gjshawk - this is where I am and know deep inside that WA is a great place there should be no SSS taking control.
I know I must set myself up for success and get rid of SSS
and I hope you also rid yourself of it
Much Success to you
I can feel your pain and you are correct as it is up to us to do something about it. I agree that we all support each other as well as falling off track at times.
I personally hit a slump and working myself out of it. These ditches are not getting me down, or you. Time to start building bridges and make a new path for our future.
Writing is not something I ever thought I would be trying to do but I am trying. My biggest problems are the programs and not just WA programs. Joining these Affiliate Marketing Programs is crazy how difficult they are.
I just don't want to let these programs bet me I guess? I really don't have to do this but something has a hold on me. I ask myself why all the time. Why am I spending the money to beat myself up so much. That one I have not figured out just yet.
Sorry for the long story of myself and back to you. You can do this and you will once you get your mind back in the game. You have all the support of this great community so hang in and keep going.
Stay safe and have a great weekend.
I think that once we break through and start to see success, then it will be easier to keep going. I've gotten a few referrals, but no one has done anything more than sign up. At time I wonder what I am missing.

I agree with you and and ask myself similar questions. I believe that once we see results "money" it will change our outlook. I keep telling myself to hang in and it will come and I say the same to you. Keep on keeping on👍.
Stay safe and enjoy your weekend.
We all get in the funk from time to time.
Take solace in that you have recognized what you are doing (or not doing). You have also taken a little action with this post.
From my experience, self-sabotage comes from a deep belief (in your subconscious) you hold about something. This belief does not support what you are trying to do consciously in your life. Until you change that belief on a subconscious level you will continue to self-sabotage.
You are literally getting in your own way.

Hi Grant
Thank you for those kind words.
LOL - no, people do not come to me for therapy. I am an ex-self-sabotager. So, I speak from personal experience.
I wish you much success.

Good Morning Grant,
You can still start, better late than never.
You took your time to see all the series and films you wanted to so now it is time to get back to work.
I did not leave the house during 2 months, did some extra cleaning, facelifted things on my 2 old websites and started a 3e one that was published a few days ago.
Stay safe and healthy,
Taetske
Thanks for checking in, and for taking the time to give me some good advice. I appreciate it.

Good one Grant! I agree with Jeffrey to put on papir daily to do’s at WA and your website. I do this and it works wonders for me. Just do it like that even if it means doing just 30 minutes writing on a New blog post. This will account for almost 4 hours of just content creation!! You will have progress each day, which will sum up big in a short timeframe.
Keep pushing Grant!
All the best,
Roy

Thanks, Roy. Good advice.
