Disapproval of Reviews on Website: Lose Ability to Leave Further Comments

Did you get this message?

We're sorry, too many of your previous comments have been reported as spam, being inappropriate, or low quality. You do not have the ability to leave further comments.

We, as a WA family, are encouraged to review each others websites and make comments. Sounds like fun, right? Yes.... UNTIL you get "disapproved".

Why do some people "disapprove"?

1. They indicate that the comment was not "unique enough".

2. They don't think you have "added" anything to their website.

3. They simply don't like your post.

It is all up to individual interpretation. How do you stop Disapprovals? You can't. You can;t control other people's thoughts or actions.

HOWEVER, of your "rating" drops, you will be BANNED from making any more reviews which means YOU CAN NOT ask for anyone to review your website.

At this time, I do not know if there is a way to "redeem" yourself, since we can't control other people's actions or thoughts.

However, if you DO have a someone review your website, please think twice about "Disapproving" someone's comment. If you have a problem with it, just remove it. Don't be the reason a novice online reviewer gets denied the rights to review or have their website reviewed.

We are supposed to be all learning together... just because you may be "more advanced" in your website does not give you the right to hurt someone's chance of learning.

Respectfully,

Ginger

This just happened to me and l feel so disappointed, am trying to put up my website together, coming to the part of the world that English language is difficult to understand and speak cos it's not my dialect.

l gave a feedback instead of a proper comment and it was disapproved. l did this out of my good heart and the best l could understand.
Wealthy Affiliate should look into this and help people like me, l need comments from the community to keep my website going.

That was a very good reply. I am in the same boat. I am new and got banned from making comments even with a 78 % approval rate. Some of the reasons they gave seemed kind of arrogant and seemingly like they "know more" kind of attitude. I was so shocked to see this!! Instead of being banned right off the bat, I feel there should be a warning period, like 3 strikes your out. And then a disciplinary period. I am still not sure if this ban is permanent or not. I really think this is an area that could use some improvement

I somehow managed to 2 of my comments three times on the same site but this was not intentional, just a mistake I did not even not know it until I checked

I see in your blog here that you mix comments and review (feedback) This is two very different things, and that might be the reason your comments are rejected. NEVER leave a site-review in the comment section on a site. Please read this and hopefully it clear things up a bit

Yep...I've been disapproved a couple of times as a novice. I made comments that I thought were helpful, but they weren't wanting comments about their content, or something...I can't recall what they said. I just jotted down their names and vowed to not bother commenting on their sites any more. Nothing worse than putting time and effort into helping someone and have them reject it. I think if they want professional opinion about their website, they should pay for it somewhere. Just my two cents worth.

DreamN,
Thank you for your comment. It is a great idea to write individual's name down so that you won't review their site again. The bad thing is that the ones that "disapproved" me - I really liked their site!
It IS frustrating when you put your time and effort in hopes to help others...
All The Best,
Ginger

I agree...I liked one of those sites, but not the other. My "boycotting" their sites won't effect them in any way, I'm sure, but it will keep me from being banned from making comments on other sites of people less picky about the comments.
Hang in there, Ginger! Sometimes, as writers, we have to develop a tough skin.
Dennis

I agree!!!!!!

2 cents well spent friend
