Understand that your audience via a podcast Vs. a blog may vary significantly. Much of our podcast audience doesn't actually visit our site and many of our blog readers don't listen to our podcast.

The podcast does much for our brand in terms of building authority, but it's much more difficult to attribute a direct ROI. We "know" it's valuable when we get on the phone with potential customers who have listened to our show, though - a much easier sale.

You could create a podcast show and launch it on iTunes or soundcloud. iTunes has the most audience though and there is massive potential in podcasting so definitely give it a try.

That is a good question. I did get a response earlier in response to my comment about the Google bots.

Apparently You Tube has a set up with there videos and content that is recognized by Google. Which is actually a video not media.

I suppose you could try a page and see how Google ranks it. I would give it some time though, wouldn't be an overnight thing.

I made some changes to my site just recently. I had 74 URL'S indexed by Google and they have stayed that way for a while. Now with the changes I have made in that last 5 - 7 days I now have 136 URL's indexed.

That's a good question. I don't know, Ginge. I'm answering here because I want to see what the answers are from the experts. I used to do a podcast years ago. It was fun. Never used one in a blog, though. I don't know how it would rank as Google can only crawl words, not pictures. Let's see what everyone else says.
