Here is the text they send me:

@Feigner is right that uploading Amazon images is against their TOS, and that could be the issue here. However, their wording of it doesn't seem to be that the image is the problem. I feel like they would have said that more explicitly if that was the case.

I'm not sure. Perhaps they are explaining things in a roundabout way.

However, they also say "you are including the entire Amazon URL and loading the full detail page for the item (including your tag) in the source code".

I think the issue is that you are linking to the product page from the image. Although this seems like the intuitive (and best) way to do things, the better option would have been to link to the Amazon product using the code Amazon gives you.

So did they permanently ban you or are they giving you a chance to fix your mistake? I find that Amazon is a bit more forgiving than Google with these types of things.

I don't get it Nathaniell - Suppose you're right - this means I can't link the image to the product page? Is it true? It's contr-intuitive...
And they permanently banned me.

I have another question for you. I know you have many websites: do you use separate affiliate logins for each? Thing is - I have 2 websites on the same account, but with different IDs. They banned me - which means I can't get the money from another website now too.

Yeah, unfortunately, getting banned with one site means getting banned overall. The only reliable method I've heard about getting around this type of ban is to start a company, get a different ID (other than personal), and remake your account using that. It works because it's a separate tax ID.

Looks like you'll have to replace your products with a different affiliate program. Walmart, Target, eBay - there are many others out there. It's very unfortunate when stuff like this happens, but I've been in a similar situation, and it makes you a better marketer because of challenges like this.

I had a site once that had a #1 ranked product earning $2k/month. They started delaying payments, so I got sassy, and then they banned my account. I had to replace all link to the product in the whole site. It sucked, but once the work was done it was done.

Sorry to hear about that man!

Do you think it would be a good idea just to register new account with my wife name on it? Or it's better not to deal with Amazon at all?
The biggest problem is that they don't reply and I don't know what I did wrong. Do you think calling them from another side of the planet will make any changes? Or if they closed account - there are no chances they will resurrect it again?

Big corporations are terrible at that. If they aren't responding, they probably won't even if you send more emails.

I think using your wife's name could be a good way to get back with Amazon. Have her email them and ask though. Something like, "My husbands account was banned, but I want to take over his website and fix the mistakes then reapply".

My advice is to ask, because you don't want to end up in a situation where you get everything fixed, then they decide to kick your wife out too for associating with you.

As far as reinstating your account - I have broken some rules in the past, got a warning, fixed the issue, and they were okay to keep my account running. There may be a chance you can get back in, but I'm not sure of the specifics of your situation.

Some update about my ban on amazon.

The previous week I decided to call to amazon using phones showed here:
https://affiliate-program.amazon.com/home/contact/ to find out what should I do to eliminate the ban...

I spent more than 2h calling to each number and trying to find out the department responsible for my ban. In the end, one of the operators told me: "Sorry, but I don't have any option in my system to put you through to talk..." Turns out - nobody understands what is Amazon Affiliate / Amazon Associates. All operators thought I'm the seller and in both cases, I ended up in the Retail department :) haha...

But this is not the end. I wrote several emails to support asking to show the exact place on my site which must be fixed. In reply, I only got this: your website is reviewed, the problem is not solved - the ban is permanent.

My first thought was: "Are you kidding or so stupid? "I haven't fixed my site yet because I don't know what to fix and you're telling me you reviewed my site again: WTF??

I checked my site several times and found one stupid copy-paste mistake which I fixed. And asked to review my site again...

And yesterday I got another automatic email:
http://prntscr.com/o69dbn

If previously there was a text - You are automatically tagging customer sessions without the user clicking on a Special Link - then now there is just a 'dash' - no reason at all...

Seems to me there is no human behind this. Amazon doesn't have a department for solving affiliates problems, only Bots... All the time I was writing emails to the bot...

Seems to me there is no point at all to ask for my website review - bots are too strict :(

so you downloaded the image to your site ( theft) and added your link to it.
it is the downloading of the image they are objecting to - all images on amazon are copyrighted.
so when you grab an image link use either the site stripe to add the iframe info rather than an image.
that is what they are looking for the iframe around the image.
if you grab that you can still edit the data of the image to open in a new window and you an add a caption to say check out the latest prices.
good luck getting it sorted.

Hey,

Does someone uses some WP plugin for managing internal link building process?
Previously there was a plugin called SEO Auto Linker, but it doesn't work anymore.

No Dimitri,

I have never and will never automate my site's internal links. That would make them look automated which would NOT be good for ranking a site.

Google's spiders (scripts) would know that a bot is tending a site with this sort of plugin installed.

Hope this helps you.

It seems to me i do not understand how to add affiliate link into whatever element from Thrive builder. If i just copy and paste link given from Azon in such format:

[eas

This question is probably better for Thrive support. Let us know how it goes!

Turns out it is not possible to insert the link in this format. All you can do is copy and paste real amazon link: www.amazon.com/product/us/...

But in this case of course links localization will not work at all...

I would just focus on the US Amazon since they get the most traffic. I think link localization if overrated IMO. Get traffic and sales from the US, and you can maybe worry about UK traffic at some point. Just my opinion!

Totally agree. After checking google analytics, turned out that traffic outside of US is ten times smaller than from US. So i just inserted the link in ordinary format...

Trouble is, that i heard that Google can punish you if you are using too many times a certain keyword in your article. Question is how many times i can use it?

As i know

There is no specific rule. Some people say there is, but they are just guessing. You can sometimes use ALL of these. Sometimes just a few. If your keyword is 6 words long, using ALL of them may be too much! If your keyword is 3-4 words long, then using all of them may be OK.

It just kind of depends on how much you can use the phrase without sounding awkward.

Anyway, that's a great list to start with!

Hi,

No I think you really understand what you need to do (just URL you have forgotten), the most important for Google is that your text is nice to read and having a quality content and that your not make weird sentences to get the keyword in the text for 25 times and at the end your text is not readable,....
That's the most important, but you can but it on all places where it has to be (URL, title, meta description, text (as much as possible but it can not influence the way you write, so it becomes a weird content and not readable)

In Yoast SEO yo even get an orange or red light when you did not put it in all 4 places... So it's recommended to do it...

Grtz,
Bert
