Never Enough Time
Its funny; sometimes I just want the day to be over, so I can relax, and other times I wish the days were longer so I could have time to do everything.
I feel spread too thin, too much of the time. I feel like I'm not giving 100% to anything, and it's frutrating. I want to be the best mom and wife, and I also want to be the best me for myself. I really want to throw myself into my website full force, and then there's constant interruption from the kids. I want to spend more time with the kids, but I know I need to get more work done. I know I should be cleaning the house and getting things done, but I'm too busy with work or the kids.
Ever see the movie "Multiplicity?" I wish there were more of me. More to go around. More to get things done. More to be able to give 100% to everything. There's just one me, and never enough time.
Just gotta keep trying, keep working, keep going.

I know the feeling. Before I retired I had ways to cope with this feeling that there just were not enough hours in the day. I developed many tools (mostly mental) for increasing my productivity.
Since retirement I've not been as able (or as willing) to do this. I remember the mental relief of those first months of retirement. It was like every day was Saturday. I hardly ever set the morning alarm and if I get tired during the day I looked forward to just taking a nap.
I slowly started to recapture my time management skills when I started the WA Training. Then my wife's health became a matter needing a lot of my attention. I've accepted the reality that my progress here at WA will have to continue at a slower pace than my initial plan.
My recommendation Freya is to accept the fact that you DO have a lot of responsibilities, and stressing over the notion that you are just spread too thin is not a healthy long term prescription. I think you know that.
The only one that is putting pressure on your WA training pace is you. You're going to here this often. WA training is not a race ... it's a marathon. My sense is if you truly evaluate all that you do, you will discover that you are very productive. You should take pride in that.
I've been there. When you get frustrated with yourself because you haven't accomplished anywhere near what you wanted to do in a given day. Sounds like you may benefit from creating a "to-do" list. It should include everything you want to do in one day. For example, it could include, Write one blog post, do laundry, prep dinner, etc. You could go further by then taking the to-dos, and scheduling windows for each task. Give yourself a set amount of time to work on your website, do household chores, and spend time with family. When you hit the "stop" time, you stop what you are currently working on and move onto the next thing. It may take some trial and error, but scheduling is the only real way to ensure your wants get done, without sacrificing time with family. IE, the work/life balance.
Lol, I love lists. I create them quite often. Sometimes, just making one seems to help feel accomplished, lol.
Life is a challenge that can be helped by setting yourself a timetable. It may sound draconian but you are more likely to get things done if they are in a set time frame.

I suppose it is difficult there Freya...wishing you well...have you thought about getting up an hour earlier in the day?..
We have all been there Freya. I have 4 different websites I am working on and it get's crazy. What has helped me is a very clear checklist of the absolutes I want to do every day. Those can usually be done in about an hour and then no matter what happens I feel like I am ok cuz I got those done.
For Instagram I use Gramblr. It is free and allows me to schedule as many posts as I want. I like to schedule 4 a day for a full month and then I can just walk away. At some point, I will work closely with Instagram but for now, my following grows steadily and the time commitment is minimal.
There are little tricks to make us more efficient, you just have to figure out the best ones for you.
Feel Free to PM any specific questions and I will do my best to point you in the right direction. I am blessed that I do this full time and have time to help others most days. I enjoy the camaraderie of helping out.

I totally understand. I LOVE working on my site, but have been neglecting it majorly due to being a mom, wife, and having another job... It is so hard. But I keep pushing forward because it is a deep passion and dream of mine.
Keep going! You got this.
