It's Official I am an Amazon Associate Now: Oh, An Ambassodor Too But,
Howdy everyone,
As Monday is winding down here in beautiful Central Florida I am just getting my to do list ready for tomorrow morning.
It is just going to be a small list,
One I know I can complete. lol
Just 3 things I want to get done first thing.
This way, no matter what I end up doing for the rest of the day I have at least moved my business ahead.
Even if it is just a little.
Kind of like how today played out. Most of what I accomplished today on the online business side of things was done by lunch time.
Yep, I have finally joined up with Amazon. This was the first thing I tackled this morning and ended being a much easier process than what I had expected.
Then I did some research in Jaaxy on some keywords for some of the products I am going to be offering on my new website.
This is a new project that I had been wanting to explore for some time now. The plan is to use Pay Per Click "PPC" to get visitors to my new website.
My new Niche?
Am I passionate about it?
Nope, not at all.
My passion on this business project lies in the chance, that an Idea that started out in my head can become a reality.
What are my chances for success on this one?
I wish I knew but we never really do,
Do we?
But I am going for it.
Did I mention I became an Ambassador?
Yup, a couple days ago I got the message from Kyle.
Am I proud I accomplished this?
Do I belong there?
Will I try to stay there?
No, No, and No
I look at some of the members just ahead of me,
And the ones that I have moved ahead of,
And even others in the top 100,
I don't belong there, that is the truth.
I am not going to get into any of the details of why I decided to try and reach the top 25 once I started to get in reach of it.
But I am over it.
The best thing that came out of this was the newfound joy I got out of writing the blog posts and some of the comments from newer members that really made my day.
I still plan to write some blogs but I doubt this will be a daily thing. Actually I am quite sure it won't be daily.
I need most of my focus on so many other things right now.
Just to be clear I think the ambassador program is a great thing to have here at Wealthy Affiliate.
It could use a little tweaking but,
All in all it is pretty awesome.
That is all I have for ya tonight.
To your success,
Kirk

Hi Kirk, is that Captain Kirk? Congratulations on all of your accomplishments. I noticed your reply in one of your posts where you said you were going to leave the ambassadorship to those that deserve it, well my friend you absolutely 100% deserve it. What part of Central Florida? Palm Bay here
Good morning Kirk,
It looks like you've been very busy! I must admit I have not particularly liked the Amazon affiliate program. However, different things work for different people. I know plenty of people who have had success through Amazon.
It's great that you are starting a new website and utilising your knowledge of Google ads. It would be great if you could document some of your progress.
The ranking system at Wealthy Affiliate is kind of a bit of fun, but I think it's important not to take it too seriously. As you rightly say, our main focus should be on our business.
Have a great day.
Roy
Thank you, Roy. The new adventure will be interesting and a learning experience that will be helpful for me moving forward
It's always a pleasure, Kirk!
One of the interesting things about life is that we never stop learning!
Wishing you a great and productive day.
Roy
Honestly, What it showed me is how one can actually reach the top 25 by writing a lot of posts and running around commenting on and liking others' posts.
To me, that is not deserving of the ambassadorship. Those answering people's questions all over this platform and creating helpful content and training are the real ambassadors for me.
Whether they are in the top 25 or not.
My view, Kirk, is that the various Rank levels are a way of WA recognizing our contributions and not a goal for us...our focus should be the Community, by doing the things to contribute for the benefit of others, so I think we're on the same page on that one.
If you have PPC experience, you should be good to go...if not, Kyle's PPC program for P Plus is very good.
Also, Lakeland here...
Have a great day,
Joe
There are lots of people with phenomenal expertise who share that. Unfortunately, I don’t have a lot of expertise other than what I’ve done with WA. I tend to be more of a supporter or encourager. It is an amazing platform, though reading so many different kinds of people together.

Hi Kirk,
I totally get seeing others ranked lower and wondering how this could be. I could rattle off a couple dozen folks off the top of my head who are more qualified than me, hah hah.
Regardless, congratulations.
I enjoyed your sharing on your PPC campaigns. It's nice to see someone who is doing well with them. I've always thought of them as extreme gambling so reading your posts has taken some of that edge off as you seem to have a science to your methods.
Back to the ambassador tweaking. I don't know how they could implement it, but I remember mentioning in my own post that it seemed bizarre some like Eric and Partha at times aren't making the cut, and it's obvious to me it's because the algorithms can't account for the quality being shared. I'm not sure how they could, although for human eyes it's so obvious.
We all know who we want coming across our questions, or whose posts we know we better be ready to take some notes.
I wish you luck with Amazon. I've dealt with them both as a seller and via self publishing and let me say now, they are ruthless and will at some point piss you off. That's all I got on that, hah hah.
Regards,
Jason
