I figured it out!
I am happy to share that I have affiliate marketing links I have posted on my website! I have been working daily before I go to work on this. I have added the links to all my websites here and will get domains when I can. But for now, it is the content I am working on.
Any advice out there?

You got it right. As this is the time to build the site, create more content for your site while waiting for the time to get a domain for it.

Although it is good to have the affiliate links, they are basically useless until you start generating significant traffic in your site. You are right about working on the content. It is the content that will bring you traffic - visitors who might click your affiliate links and might ultimately make a purchase.
