Is it possible to change the order that posts in my blog roll? Can I alter the chronological order to accomplish this? I tried changing the publishing date/time but it did not
No, this can not be changed unfortunately :/ It's a solid foundation in WordPress and it's there for a reason. We always want our latest posts first for ranking factors in Google. You can always categorize them and organize them into custom menus on your site if you want certain posts and categories more noticeable. Here's an example of what I've done with my site: http://pianosongsforbeginners.org. Hope this helps!

I'm just getting started. Is it beneficial in the long run to start with a domian instead of a subdomain?
Such good advice. I was planning to use the free website/subdomain until I started to feel good about my website niche idea. Most of the top sites that come up in my test searches are domain websites. If I'm gonna compete I may as well go all in. Thanks, you guys.
You can still use Siterubix to practice on, even if you start a site that isn't meant for anything other than to try stuff out and see how it looks.
I started with a domain. My though is that my website idea is great so why waste time plus complicate things if I am going to transfer my subdomain eventually anyway. The expense is minimal. Best of luck!
Not really. I start with Siterubix and then bought a domain. One thing to keep in mind is that your Siterubix name may not be available when you go to buy your domain. So you may want to get a domain so you can secure the name you want.
ROCK ON!
