Two Weeks To Take In So Much!

So, what have I learned? That is a good question. I have learned so much in the last less than two weeks. The thing I would like to note most is WA is not a scam!!! Yayyy!

With random people and most of all competitors spamming the internet calling WA a scam it is really hard to figure out what site (any at all) is not a scam. I may not have made any money yet, but that is because this is a learning platform not a get rich quick one.

So much good has happened since I joined Wealthy Affiliate! I am technically the owner/operator of my own online business. Though the business has not profited yet. I would like to just go over a few things that got me to where I am.

The Heading

This is your eye catcher. The heading is the part of your post that is going to get people to click to your page from google. So it needs to be good. Not just good, the best.

So how do you get the best?

Start with keywords.

What are Keywords?

Keywords are one or a set of words that people type into the search bar in google or other search engines to find information, services, or a product. One example would be typing in “How to write a blog?”

Everything that comes up was picked, designed and geared toward the words in that sentence. They made their pages rank under those specific Keywords.

There is one other part of this equation though. Do you click on the boring headline? Really, do you? For most people this answer would be no, because it didn’t catch their eye. Give your heading some flare so you are sure that people will want to click on it. If people are not clicking, then you are not getting paid.

Content

Content goes here. Yeah content. But what is content? It can be just about anything. You could literally be doing a post completely consisting of the word meow. Would that make you money though? Who would even look at that post?

I think I made my point. Content is a big deal. Not all content is the same. Content for the sake of content will not sell anything or make any money. What you are looking for when you think of content is value.

Value in content? It is not as hard as it seems. There is even a formula to it!

· State problem – whatever problem it may be that your readers have

· Give solution – whether it is your advice, a product, or a service

· Provide benefit – going with your solution, what benefit do they get from it? (bonus maybe)

· Call to action – Just as it states, you are asking them to do something flat out

o Click here now….

o Check it out here…..

o Don’t miss your chance to buy…..

Call to Action

Why do we need a call to action? People want to do things their own way. Odd huh? People not wanting to be controlled or considered part of the masses.

But you are part of the masses. I am part of the masses too. And we as the masses need prompting.

It wasn’t that long ago that our mom and dad had to come into our room more than once to wake us up for school. (We all did it at one point or another.) That mentality has not changed.

You have a brand new review up on your webpage. People are even clicking over to it from google! Why is it not making money?

Check your call to action. Do you have a call to action? Is it visible? Can a fifth-grader tell that you want them to click the link to go check out the product? Most likely your call to action is not living up to what you need it to do.

Social Media and Traffic to your site.

How does social media play into traffic to your site? How many people are on Facebook? Twitter? Pintrest? Need I go farther?

For those that need a little more, the internet is filled with people. So, how do you get a hold of them and direct them to your site? How about posting that new site you are so proud of to your Facebook page?

Your mom and dad will most certainly click to see what you made. Your brother or sister will want to see if they can take your ideas. Your mom and dad will repost your link to boast to their friends. Then their friends will show their kids so that they can try it too. And the cycle repeats.

With each repost more people are looking at your post and link. As it builds in your group, people outside will get interested. Then all of a sudden mom and dad’s two clicks turns into a hundred from random people all over the web.

Don’t knock it before you try it. Using social media may just rocket your webpage from the tenth page on google to the eighth or ninth spot on google search rankings. Then how will you handle the traffic?

Conclusion

There is sooooo much to learn. (I know too long so.) I am still learning every day that I log in whether I do work or not. Yesterday I actually got to see posting on social media in action! No kidding.

I went from 0 clicks in the morning on WA. Posting three different things from WA to my Facebook at different times of the day. When I came back to look at my stats I had 38 brand new, unique clicks on my WA affiliate links.

I guess my moral to this post is, take your time. Find what works and stick with it. Don’t be afraid to branch out. Make sure your content has value and your headlines will catch attention. Mostly, do not be afraid to get out there and socialize with your new website! And this is all what I learned in the first two weeks of being on Wealthy Affiliate.
