Feeling Overwhelmed
This is my first week at Wealthy Affiliate. I am so excited to begin this journey. I'm a little frustrated that I have so little time to devote to this. With parenting and household obligations I am lucky to get 2 hours a day. But that's ok. I know that success will come with focus and perseverance...And that's where I'm having trouble. My mind is going in a thousand different directions right now. I keep thinking of other niche ideas and website names and content ideas. Along with that I'm juggling a transcription course and trying to make some extra money from home to pay for the course and the wealthy Affiliate subscription. This is a major flaw in my personality and probably the main reason why I didn't finish college. I take on too much, think too much, get overstimulated and overwhelmed and quit.
I don't want to do that. Not this time. I need figure out some ways to manage my brain! Anyone else struggle with this? How do you deal with it? I know that I should just focus on my original niche idea and go step by step through the training. The rest can wait.

I guess it could be overwhelming at first, and it sounds like you have a lot on your plate! I know what works for me is writing down a schedule (routine) to follow! I'm a big list maker, and love and need to be organized for as long as I can remember! Just take baby steps, and all you can ask of yourself is to do the best you can! :)
Can I tell you I understand! The best way to combat a hectic schedule is to set immediate goals. What needs to be completed first, etc. Most likely you have done that already, but if not, write them down in the order in which you need to complete. Then add the other ideas on down the line.
When I was working as a high school administrator, I had to tell myself daily, wait on one student at a time. Approach your goals the same! Blessings.
Thank you. I do need to write down my immediate goals. They are in my head but I need to write them down and look at them and plan my day accordingly. One thing at a time :)
Yes, most definitely, goals must be written. One other thing, plan to work your goals the night before. I use a day planner. A blank computer page works just as well. I know with children it is difficult to stay on task, but planning at night lets you begin quickly and end as quickly whenever being a mom has to happen. Blessings.
Try and focus on the one thing that will give you the best result, the important versus the urgent... big rocks in first! Put The Big Rocks In First The best ones to follow at WA are the Top 200 where they will always steer you right. I've gotten the best advice from them and that's probably one of the best things going for me right now.
Something like this would elicit some great advice from the top 0.02% of the community!
Don't be like me, when it comes to being spread out too thin! LOL. The best to you, Julie!
Cheers!

Thank you. I loved your post about Big Rocks First. Great advice and very pertinent to my situation right now!
Hi I'm having the exact same problem, my mind keeps racing, different ideas keep rushing through my head so fast it's hard to keep on an even keel... You are right about the focus aspect, I keep telling myself that I have no reason for a plan B because it distracts me from plan A...we will get there, we have come this far can't stop now, keep calm and maybe try to slow it down a little, and breath!!

I also have many ideas but the experts say focus to one niche first, so I follow that advice. We can make progress in our pace. Keep spirit and moving forward. Good luck.
