You are what you do, not what you'll say you do
YOU ARE WHAT YOU DO, NOT WHAT YOU'LL SAY YOU DO
What a powerful message, Don't you think?
Words are weak when we don't put it into action.
Have you told your son or daughter: "I'll be there" and guess what, you failed them?
What consequence this could bring in the future?
Is it worth it?
That is just an example. Imagine applying this situation in all aspects of our life. How bad it can be to introduce ourselves to others in a way (or put our word as a guarantee) and when they really know us, the opposite happens (we don't keep our word).
This happens daily in engagements, marriages, social life, family life, business, government, you can name a few.
It is a big problem that affects our interactions as human beings and is breaking our Society.
The question is?
It's worth being this way.
What do you think?
Your words are aligned with your actions these days?
If so, let's evaluate ourselves as an exercise.
Can you tell us how this has been an asset in your business, in your personal life or in interaction with others?
Your opinion is important.

Great post and you are right your words are very powerful but you need to fulfill that with your actions to follow.
We have to be true to our word because back in the day our word meant something and now our word doesn't mean anything anymore.
We today have to make our count for something along with our actions.

I would complete it with my mother's advice: do not promise something if you know you will not be able to do it.
Wise Woman your Mother is Adrian. Bless you, her and all your family. Thank for your comment. π
YOU ARE WHAT YOU DO, NOT WHAT YOU'LL SAY YOU DO is one the greatest sayings of the last century. After 60 years, I have heard a lot from the 2nd group, but only a handful that starts action before speaking!
Let's our actions speak for us. Thank you Sr. for your comment. Blessings, Luis Antonio π
Yes!
Keep a given word and stick to the time .
Waiting for others is the most unpleasant experience and shows lack of respect indeed. It is a growing desease of modern society and often attributed to traffic jams...
Agree and we are here to make the difference. Thank you for your Comment. Blessings,
