I use the Schema theme (pro version). Sometimes I look at it and think It is straight out of a red light district.
Maybe that is my taste, because I set the color scheme.
Sometimes I think of changing it, but take a look at what's involved and put it on the back burner.
Better things to do than play decorator.
Maybe one day...
Michael.
Choosing the right theme for your website can be a nightmare. I remember when I first joined WA and started my first website, I knew nothing about themes and the training really didn't cover them. I made the mistake of using Heiro, it's been nothing but a disaster. Fortunately I know a lot more now and I chose my themes much more carefully. Jim

Once again I wish I had read this back when choosing my theme. I went with the twenty twenty by default. It kinda suits me.
Now with your informative article I have a better grasp for what I'm looking for.
Thank you,
Stephen
Stephen, I did have a hard time with this issue, because page speed is directly associated with the theme. I chose thememattic but it slows downloading your page, so I changed it immediately.

Great information for beginners! I had so many thoughts and reconsiderations about the WordPress theme and I changed the theme a few times before choosing a theme that I think is classy. It's minimalist, beautiful to the eye and I believe it goes along to the texts I write. I also saved some other themes, in case of changing my mind, but so far I think I've chosen the right one. AmandaLite is my choice, and I also like Lightweightly, Twenty Fifteen, Twenty Twenty One, OceanWP
Good choices Julijana, your audience will let you know.
