The Course that Started It All for Me
Every entrepreneur has to start somewhere, and for me, it all started with the Online Entrepreneur Certification (OEC). I’ll never forget how excited I was when I went thru the course. OEC laid out everything I needed to know in order to launch my business! It gave me the confidence I needed in order to make this happen, and now here we are years later with an established company!
I never thought that I would be able to start a business. I was in the military at the time and had no idea what was next for me. One day, I stumbled upon an online course about how to start a business from home. It seemed too good to be true! But when I got there, it really changed my life forever. Learning the skills in this course taught me everything that I needed to know about running my own business and doing it successfully - without having any experience before!
I can't even begin to tell you how grateful I am for the course that started it all for me. It has completely changed my life, and I'm so excited to share with you what made this course different from any other one I had ever taken. This amazing online program is called Wealthy Affiliate, and it's been helping people like me start their own successful business online since 2005.
One of the most common questions I am asked is where I learned about blogging. Most people assume that my interest in this topic stemmed from my academic background, but they couldn't be more wrong. It actually started when I was sitting at home with nothing to do one day and decided to sign up for Wealthy Affiliate. I can remember like it was yesterday when I got an invitation email from Kyle, so I decided to jump in and went for it back then in June 2008.
The first thing that Kyle instructed me to do was to complete the OEC training and that's exactly what I did. It was the most gratifying experience because I learned how real online businesses were born. I was wrong thinking that there was a push-button way to be successful but I received the real education thru Wealthy Affiliate. I admit that I still wanted the fast way and that's why I quit 6 months later.
I was so to speak in limbo about starting an online business, and after 10 years, came back home to Wealthy Affiliate, and guess what, I went thru the OEC course again. I quit again a couple more times but then I rejoined and now I'm here for good until I'm successful. Wealthy Affiliate is the real deal, otherwise, they would have not been in business this long.

Yeah, I had bought into a couple of the push button marketing things that would just be like "do this then do this then do this" but I never learned a single thing. I had no idea I was searching for WA until I found it. I really don't even remember how I found WA, but I sure am glad I did!
