I realize that I am new but from what I have seen so far this looks like another MLM where you have to sign more people up in order to make any real money. Is this the case?
absolutely not. This is a place to learn affiliate marketing. There is nothing MLM about it. This might help.

Not at all. We are the farthest thing from that.
I would sit through the first level of training and I think you will have a whole different picture after that, and that bunch of classes are free. :)

Nope. You certainly can make money with Wealthy Affiliate as a marketer for their product (That's the black "Affiliate Bootcamp" link on left.) Or, you can discover your own niche or passion, write about it, market it, and make money by providing your own product to the world. That's the green "Get Started Here" button on left. Best of luck.

WA is primarily a training and support platform for creating your own affiliate marketing business. The WA affiliate program is entirely optional and has a single level commission.
Many members choose niches that have nothing to do with earning WA referral commissions. Their income comes from their own website, which they've made profitable through the principles they have learned through the WA training platform. ~Jude
Thank you for the reply. I now realize that I was looking at this all wrong. Mostly because of the bad experiances I have had in the past. Looking forward to learning even more!!
