I am at the end of module 2 and, according to Google analytics, my website still does not have any traffic. Is there anything that I should be doing or am failing to do to get

Kyle recommended google + etc. It helped my ranking.

If you follow the guidelines from the training the traffic will come over time. As you get more content published, the low-hanging fruit keywords that you are building content around will pull in that traffic...

It can get a bit frustrating, as this does take time, but it sounds like you are going about it the right way, based on your reply below to a comment. My advice would be to keep producing that content on a regular basis.

You could also ask for a site review using one of the features here, just so you get some objective feedback that may help you tweak the look and feel of your site, plus you can address any issues to make it user-friendly...

The other thing you may want to do is provide comments on other member's posts and then get comments in return for your posts. This can also give you some rankling juice for the search engines, as they see people are engaging with you and the content...

Best of luck!

Many thanks to both of you for your advice. This is very helpful.

Can you share more about the age of your site, how many words your posts are composed of, how many times per week you are posting content, and are there enough comments for Google to take notice?

Getting traffic from the search engines usually takes time. Perhaps, promoting your site on social media while waiting for organic traffic from Google will give you immediate results.

It is about 3 weeks old and has about 7 articles. I have just begun promoting it on google+. I just discovered I am ranked on page 4 of a googlrr search on my site.

Perhaps, you will see improvements as your site age. Your site is just new. Remember "Site Age" in our training here and in our Site Health section?

Hi! I don't know how old your site is but the more articles you have on your site the more traffic you will get. Also, don't forget to find those low hanging fruit keywords. Traffic takes time. Google needs to see that your site is churning out quality information. Then you'll see more traffic and higher rankings. I hope this helps. Alanna
