I'm putting a section on my site where I add meditation exercises. I'm wondering the best way or tools to record and upload a guided meditation
Is it a video or audio?
If it is a video you can use YouTube (free)
If it is audio you can upload an mp3 or mp4 and use an audio player for people to hear things -
I haven't tried this but it may be best to upload the videos into YouTube then embed then onto your page. You will also get traffic driven to your site from YouTube. As far as recording them you can use any camera or even your webcam.
I hadn't really thought about YouTube sending traffic if I used that. Ok that gets my mind working to get creative. I would like to also just do some straight up audio maybe with binaural beats added....
I'm primarily a video marketer - YouTube is the second largest search engine on the planet - it's a great way of driving traffic.
I can get faster ranking with a video in most cases then I can with content.
I'm in one other very competitive niche where all I use is video nothing else to send people to my site - and it is generating 4 figures per month from steady traffic everyday.
Your goal is to get them off youtube and to your website - and now with external annotations meaning you can have have clickable links right in your videos going to your site - it's even better for traffic generation.
Is there a particular software you use? I'm doing some research to find something for my pc. I've downloaded iMovie for my phone.
I don't use audio on my site - just video and for that I use YouTube and a private service called Viemo.
I did however find an nice resource that listed the top 15 audio players
http://www.thedesignpotato.com/15-amazing-website-music-players/
I also did a search for free HTML5 audio players and found this site that listed 10 of the best:
http://www.shoutmeloud.com/best-html5-audio-players.html
As I said I don't use audio so you would need to do your due diligence on these players and see which one best works for you.
Hope this helps
I'm really interested in this link from youtube direct to website. How do you do it? Also can you upload an I movie with voice over on YouTube?
The link from youtube to your site is called an External Annotation this is something you need to set up within your youtube channel.
I did a training video a while back on how to do that:
YouTube Annotations Now Offer External Links
Yes you can upload that type of video to youtube.
Hope this helps

I feel like I'm just rambling as I write and not really expressing myself well. Wondering what others have done to get there thoughts out clearly. Any help is appreciated.
hey there Julie, when it comes to writing about ourselves, yes it can be difficult sometimes, however, there are a few tips that might help.
1. Firstly write down your thoughts on paper relating to how you feel about yourself.
2. If you have children ask them what you should write about they can be very honest when it counts.
3. Be true to yourself when you write down who you think you are, write down your strengths and weaknesses, your passions and your aliments as well.
4. Ask your friends and family as well sometimes we don't see what others around us see. and that can be very uplifting as well.
but most of all be yourself when you write about yourself ramble to your hearts content if you need to ramble then latter you can condense your blog if need be...this is who you are and not even be shy or ashamed about who you are. I hope i have given you some food for thought.
Hey Julie; don't worry about rambling just imagine somebody new in your life asked the question "who is Julie" then write down what you would answer. I am sure there is lots to say.
I did at first but what helps is just jot some notes down on the key parts that you want in your page. Then add some details about each one of those notes.
